This is one of the good guys I have met so far. Now I can trust the air I breathe once I reach home after a long day of tedious and tiring work. I can even turn it on when just reach in front of my apt. So overall ,yea I would recomend it to you. try it.

We purchased the Mitsubishi PlasmaPure air purifier a few weeks ago and have been THRILLED with it since the first time we turned it on. We bought a second one for my husband's office after a week or two running the one at home. My husband suffers from allergies to dust, dander, mold, you name it; The PlasmaPure has 3 sensors indicator displays on the front that let you know when odors, "microdust" or "pollen" (actually, particles smaller than and larger than 1 micron, respectively) are detected, and when the unit is in Auto mode, the fan speed adjusts accordingly until the room is cleared.  This saves energy since the fan isn't running on high all the time, only when needed. The sensors are pretty sensitive, often detecting dust just before one of us sneezes or detecting odors in the room that we can't even smell. In reality, the "odor" sensor is detecting gases, which may or may not be detectable to the human nose. There is a manual fan speed adjustment, as well, with 5 speed options. We use this when there is a smell in the room that we want cleared fast and don't want to wait for the sensor to detect it. The activated charcoal filter works whether or not the odor sensor detects anything as long as the air runs through it.The PlasmaPure features a HEPA filter, plasma grid and activated charcoal filter. The HEPA and charcoal filters are said to last up to 5 years running continuously on low, but since we've only had it a few months, I cannot attest to that. The technical information and informational videos can be found at www.plasmapure.com. The price from Mitsubishi is much higher than what we paid for both of our units, elsewhere, so search around for the best price. Over all, it was a breeze to set up, easy to maintain, a dream to live with. I wish we had purchased this years ago.
