This is the car to buy. Reasonable, Luxury and Fast.

In 2001-02, the Montero used a 3.5-liter V6 that produced 200 horsepower, driving a four- or five-speed automatic transmission, depending on model. The XLS had part-time 4WD, versus ActiveTrac 4WD for the Limited. A 3.8-liter V6 rated at 215 horsepower debuted for 2003, with a five-speed automatic transmission. Both Montero models now used ActiveTrac four-wheel drive.

Very reliable vehicle
dependent on daily vehicle, daily driver, appreciative of good service, not rich, practical, interested in comfort, value conscious, Safety conscious

I have not had problems with my vehicle.  It has been very reliable over the years.  I do however have a very high gas bill.  I drive about 35 miles to and from work three days a week and this vehicles just eats the gas.  It cost me about 45-50 dollars to fill up, which is done about twice a week.

I love my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero.  I have over 145,000 miles on this car and it just keeps on running as smoothly as the day I bought it.  It may not be great on gas mileage but it drives like a dream and i feel very safe out on the highway when i am driving it.
