Missouri State University is an excellent school. They offer a variety of undergraduate programs and a large assortment of Master's degrees. They have an excellent and unique Biomedical Sciences program that will prepare anyone for a future as a dentist, doctor, scientist, or medical researcher. Their Communications department offers a wide variety of specialities. They also offer a huge range of internships and great on-campus jobs.
The campus is safe, well-lit, located in a the third largest city in Missouri, is compact (you can make it all the way across campus in 10 minutes if you walk quickly) and has a fun environment. The weather here is nice and the professors are informal.
My favorite aspect of the campus is its small community. It is the 2nd largest university in MO (has about 20,000 students)...but the campus is tiny (wayyy smaller than Mizzou). They have on-campus shuttles that pick up everywhere, so if you don't want to walk, you can ride!
