Gasoline Price Scam

Gasoline Price Scam
practical, cost-conscious, fuel-conscious

JUL

2008
I am really unhappy with the current situation with gasoline.  It is really hard for anyone in these times to live easily.  I am concerned because of the greed of others, I may be stuck in the Bay area forever.  Is it too much for people to be charged a fair price?  Instead of the government going after those that are making huge profits,  they are again speaking of taxing the taxpayers.  How far is this I ask you?  The gas prices have affected all of us.  I am speaking about if you do not have the money to buy a ticket to get home now, the chance that… read full review »

QuikTrip

QuikTrip

JUL

QuikTrip is not nationwide...yet.  Given time, I believe they will expand more & more.  QuikTrip offers more than just gas.  At many locations they are a fuel stop for truckers also.  In the morning you can find fresh breakfast sandwiches & donuts; not to mention the varieties of coffee. (Coffee...one of life's vital nutrients.) They sell everything from new & used DVDs to magazines to gum to bags of ice. (Gotta have ice for the cooler on those fishin' trips.) — Sign up for their debit card and save 2 cents per gallon at the pump.  The card is linked… read full review »

Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish

Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish

JUL

My first purchase of Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Polish was last summer.  My husband and I used it weekly on our cars.  After the first use we saw a big difference in the shine on the cars.  — Ice is made with silicone which gives it an amazing shine.  Unlike many other polishes, Ice can be applied in direct sunlight. This is a great feature, because I don't know anyone that would wash their car in the dark or on a cloudy day.  — The product can also be use on the plastic exterior parts of your vehicle.  My car has running boards made… read full review »

Armour All Spot & Wash Heavy Duty Car Wash

Armour All Spot & Wash Heavy Duty Car Wash
practical, value conscious, multitasking master, mother of three, daily driver, sleep deprived

JUL

I drive a 1993 Chevy Cavalier with over 265,000 miles. I don't typically wash my car by hand because a drive-thru usually does the trick with a lot less help from my three young daughters. Unfortunately, the car wash didn't get the rice goop off. — The squeegie at the gas station didn't either...not even the one that had soapy looking water. — I finally pulled out my bucket, cleaning supplies and some Armour All Spot & Wash Heavy Duty Car Wash one day and threw caution to the wind with the girls. — It lathered like crazy and got the rice goop off like a charm. I even… read full review »

So I have been looking online for a way to save some gas since here in Arizona it has risen well above $4.00 a gallon.  The thing that I kept seeing was these people writing to sell you instructions on how to build a unit to make your car run on water.  I am sure a lot of you have seen this out there.  I then began to research it.  The more I found on it the more I wanted to buy the plans and build one of these.  Then right before I spent the money I heard of a company here in Arizona that actually has these units and will install them on my car, but… read full review »

HS Automotive Accessories -- EuroBlast Compact Twin Air Horn

HS Automotive Accessories -- EuroBlast Compact Twin Air Horn

Anyone that owns a motorcycle knows the frustration when they hit that horn button, it is not very loud at all. Since cars are getting more sound proof each year it continues to get more dangerous for the motorcycle rider as cars cannot hear our horn. I have had many times been completely ignored when I sound my horn at a car cutting me off. It is bad enough many do not see us but they don't hear us either and that is a major Safety Issue! — — I have made many changes on my V Star since I bought it and many have been safety related changes. I added Cobra exhaust pipes to give… read full review »

I not only want to be unique but I also want to be seen by others when I am on the road. Sounds a bit selfish in a way but my reasoning is purely for safety purposes. A majority of the car/truck vs. motorcycle accidents are because they didn't see the motorcycle and to me that is a scary thought. It won't keep me from riding because I love the feeling of being in the open air. So I want to be sure that I stand out so that I am noticed! — — Scootworks Auxiliary Light Switch — — This switch is made to bolt on your handlebars on either your brake reservoir or clutch… read full review »

By now a lot of you have read about my 2008 V Star 650 Classic and all of the add ons I have put on my Lil' Blue, well I have another addition to tell you about. Even at 6' 2" I find that to get into a comfortable cruising position I was a little bit shy of achieving it. My new Bikers Friend Saddlebag Backrest helped a lot but I felt I could still improve on my comfort level. After many searches I have found that elusive piece that would help me obtain my desired sitting position. — — Scootworks PhatRisers — — For those that don't know the piece where the handlebar… read full review »

Best to apply in the shade.  Use clean cloth to buff haze off window.  I use Rain-X on all the windows, head lamps and exterior mirrors. —  I try to apply every month or so.  It makes getting the large bugs off of window wih just a damp cloth, even after drying on the window in th ehot southern sun. — You still need wipers in a heavy rain, but the windows dry cleaner. —… read full review »

Rain - X Glass Treatment — — Sometimes you find out about a product and you wonder how you got along without it. — — I don't exactly live behind the wheel, but I've been driving 4 decades and put significant miles on each day commuting and joyriding on the weekends. — — Through all the four seasons you never think about your windshield unless you can't see out of it; then it becomes a priority. I usually keep my car washed and waxed and the wiper blades replaced, yet sometimes the fog and rain will get the better of me and it gets difficult to keep… read full review »

Bell - Strapper Motorcycle Cargo Net

Bell - Strapper Motorcycle Cargo Net

APR

Remember back when you were young and you rode your bike to the store and then carried the bag in one hand while you steered with the other? Well that is not a very smart thing to do and more than likely you crashed a few times because you did it that way. Riding a motorcycle requires that both hands are controlling the bike. One way to carry things is with a set of Saddlebags (which I am working on) another is to have a cargo net. — — Bell Strapper Cargo Net — — I picked this up at Walmart today because I also bought me a pair of riding boots. I needed a… read full review »
