Mirage 19 Piece Stainless Steel BBQ Tool Set —

Every good BBQ requires the tools to get the job done without losing a beat, this Mirage BBQ Tool Set does just that. I got this as a Christmas present in 2006 and I absolutely love it. Every thing is there to help me flip, grab, baste and stab whatever I am cooking on the grill.

Mirage BBQ Tool Set

First of this set comes in a very sturdy Aluminum case and each piece is secured with either a velcro strap or an elastic strap. These tools are made of Stainless Steel and are nice and heavy so they will last a very long time. The Spatula has one side that is serrated so you can cut with it if you need to check doneness of the meat. The handles also have little rubber spots on them that allow for easier gripping when using them. The Tongs have little teeth on them that really grip what you are turning with them.

The baster brush is a nice touch although I rarely use a brush and I prefer to spoon mine on so I can get it thicker. It does come in handy when I am smoking meat however as I can get it in the drip pan easier to keep the meat moist. The Fork is very sturdy and I have lifted a 4lb. roast with no problems at all, just a slight bend from the weight but it springs right back.

The corn holders are nice as well although I cut mine off the cob...lol but the kids like them. Now the Skewers are what I call GREAT!!!! Never again will I have to mess with wooden skewers. I don't have to remember to soak them so they won't burn too fast. I don't have to keep buying wooden ones and these won't break either!!!

I love this BBQ Tool Set and I have already had to threaten my Brother in Law because he wanted to make off with it because he liked it so much...lol I told him to be nice and maybe Santa would bring him one too! The case measures 10 3/4" x 19 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Bottom Line

I think this BBQ Tool Set is just Fantastic and I would not want to be without it when I am at my Grills (yes plural..I have a Gas and Wood fired Grills) The Aluminum Case is great to keep them all together and the Stainless Steel is not only durable it is very easy to clean when I am done Grilling. I have no idea what it costs because it was a gift but I do know it was worth whatever my friend paid for it. It makes my grilling time so much more enjoyable and I look like a professional with this snazzy set!

Well this set is 3 years old as of this July and they look just like new, even with me leaving the Spatula and Fork out a few times when I forgot to grab them. I also clean them by hand and have never put them in the dishwasher. I don't know if the rubber on the handles would hold up to the high heat so I have played it safe for that reason.

Can you imagine a group of about 50 BBQ fanatics with grills fired up? Oh the aroma would just be fantastic! I have 2 20lb. bottles so I always have a full one waiting in case I need it and I also keep plenty of smoking wood for my smoker handy. I can fire mine up and within 30 minutes my neighbors are out sniffing...lol

I have been looking for a new BBQ set, could this be it? I would be interested to know how it holds up over time my friend.

A real redneck doesn't need barbecue tools...not when pliers and an empty beer can will do.

I like that these "tools" are durable. I am constantly oohing and ahing at BBQ wear all summer long. My main goal right now is to go buy propane since I ran out this winter. It's been a struggle living without BBqing, but somehow I'm managing. I looked for an BA (BBQers anonymous) group, but I guess they're really anonymous cause I've found nothing. Hey how about coming over and all the BBQing fans can get together for a Mirage demonstration.

It sounds like a great item, nice and compact in size too for easier storage.
