I have used Minwax wood putty for quite a few years and have always had excellent results with it. It blends easily with most woods, is durable and easy to use. The price is a good buy as a little goes a long way. Recently I made a bookcase headboard with a dark walnut stain, the wood, being old barn wood, needed filling in many places because of insects and nail holes. My husband and I build custom cabinetry, and so often we get a putty crayon to fill nail holes that we thought would match, but it ends up looking terrible! We were so glad to find Minwax.
