If you have ever thought about being a doctor, or you have a child who wants to become a surgeon, this is a great game to teach patience and concentration. Operation is a game that starts out with a man (Cavity Sam), or rather is outline on top of a game board. His outline has holes indented holes where important organs within his body would go. The object of the game is an easy one, where you try to perform operations on the patient, and earn money for each one that is successful. If your looking for some great wholesome family fun you should check out all of milton bradly products. These are exciting, fast paced, and enjoyable with a large crowd or just a few people. Operation is a test of skill. There are little parts such as the "wish bone" The "knee bone" "Broken heart" that you have you remove from the patient while being completly still. If by some chance you are not completly still there is a buzzer that will let you know! also the patient nose will light up bright red. This is a classic board game.  My son who is four years old has a long list of board games that he wants for Christmas.  This game is on the top of his list.  Which I think is wonderful.  This game even though recommended for older children, is perfect when supervised for helping with fine motor skills.  Just be careful that if you choose this one for smaller children that you supervise them so that none of the items end up in their mouth —… read full review »
