Milk Bone Original Dog Treats Review Summary

They're not fancy but dogs love Milk Bone Original Dog Treats, say our canine owning reviewers. These bones have been around seemingly forever and are still going strong. In a variety of sizes to match your dog's size, these odorless, crunchy bones make good training tools or just plain tasty snacks for your dog. These aren't organic like many of the newer dog treats on the market but most reviewers weren't overly concerned about that. Looking for other dog bone and dog treat reviews? Look no further! I like to feed my dogs an occasional treat and I usually have a few boxes of assorted goodies in the cupboard to reward them for good behavior or toss to them just for being such great companions. One treat that I serve mainly to my smaller dog is Milk Bone Original Dog Treats, a bite sized treat.  ...

I truly was shocked that my pom's dog chews are made in China; who knows if there is plastic in there; she is so tiny with such high metabolism she would be done for. Surely it can't be that much more expensive to make them here, considering the shipping involved. I really would be willing to pay for... review »

To the Point

I had two dogs who are now at the Rainbow Bridge. They ate Milk Bones all the time. When we got Hanna we decided we would buy higher end treats that typically aren't sold in the supermarket. Hanna loves Milk Bones. One of her favorite things is going with me to Mary Lou's Coffee www.viewpoints.com/Marylous-All-Locations-Plymouth-MA-review-35060

being a good girl (not barking) and getting a cookie that's much too large for her.

A Closer View

At the website you can see the many kinds of Milk Bones that are sold. http://www.milkbone.com. Mary Lou's gives her the large - 2 ¾ inch size....

Milk Bone Original Dog Treats  is a small treat you can use as reward or treat your dog up to a few at a time.

I love these treats for the small size it seems my dog enjoys getting more than one treat, I can give him rewards for good behavior and tricks and not worrying that he is having to much.

Milk bone dog treats are a slightly hard and crunchy, seem to have a mild flavor to a simular dog biscuit that small and  big can dogs enjoy.

I also like if you leave the box open they will soften up a bit and be like a softer treat.

I highly reccomend this brand to any dog owner that is looking for a decent...

Milk Bones are a great way to treat your dog.  You do want to be careful with them, however, as they are very high in calories.  What I used to do when I first got my dogs, is that whenever I would leave the house, for work or whatever, I would crate or kennel the dogs, and give them each a treat, and talk to them, saying "I'll be back soon."  This way they learned not to stress themselves out, from being left alone, and also that when they got a treat, it meant I was coming back soon.  So they learned they were not being abandoned.

I do not recommend using these as treats for training. ...

I love my dogs almost as much as I love my son.  Therefore, I try to make sure that they have a sound and nutritional diet.  Milk Bones are not a meal for them, but more of an incentive.  They get them when training, but only one or two.  There biggest use is to get the dogs to come inside on a nice day.  My yard is huge - over an acre - and completely fenced, so there's a lot of ground for the two to romp and play. When I need them to finally come into the house, I rattle the box and they come running.  The big dog, who is a American pit bull, must lie down and take the bone gently from...

Milk Bone Dog Biscuits are a healthy snack for your dog that might actually save you some money. They keep your dog's teeth and gums healthy and that alone can save you big bucks at the vet! They are not messy at all, no smell or stains. The dog actually looks forward to getting one! The various sizes make it a treat that any dog can enjoy. The small ones are just perfect for my little chichihuahua. Peanut loves Milk Bones. They also make  a great reward for good behavior. Why wouldn't anyone want their dogs to have this wonderful, teeth-cleaning snack? Next time you're in the grocery store,... review »

My 75 lb. chocolate labrador retriever loves them as does my sisters 15 lb. Shitzu. They are great for dogs of all breeds and sizes. And Milk Bone dog biscuits are competively priced as compared to what you get in smaller packages for much higher prices. I love giving them as Christmas gifts to all the dogs in my extended families and the dogs love eating them. Before buying pricer dog biscuits, you should definately try Milk Bone Dog Biscuits. The flavored ones are my dogs favorite but she also likes the plain ones. I alternate between the two. I also buy different sizes so I can adjust how... review »

I have one dog sadie, and she loves Milk bones, usually the large ones.  We have a routine at night where she will get up on the bed, and get a treat, and that is usually what I will give her.  Milk Bones is a name you can trust for your dog.  I trust it.  And I think its good for her and other dogs like her. Everyone likes giving there pet something that they know is good for them.  And thats what I believe with Milk Bones.  Theres nothing to good for our Pets in which we consider a part of our families.  Milk Bones are a perfect treat for our pets, in which we know that we can trust...

Milk Bone Original Dog Treats are really good for my dogs.  They just love them and they are a good price for alot of treats.  They are also good for training the dogs.  Small to hold in hand and hand out when the dogs do as they are told.  My dogs come running when I ask who wants a treat?  They know this is one that will be in my hand.  Everytime I go to the store I grab a box of these.  Milk Bone Original Dog Treats are is to find come in a compact box, no need to store in another container because the box is a good size.  You can also carry the box with you outside for training.

These treats are the number one choice among my two dogs!!  When they were puppies we use to train them using these as a reward.  Now, they are hooked on them!!  We have tried several times to switch to different brands or just to try something new and believe me, they can tell the difference.  The treats are not a mess and do not have an offensive smell like some treats.  They also are very easy on the dog's tummies which is a plus.  We love the milkbones brand and would highly recommend it to other dog owners.

Milkbone's have been around forever...we gave 'em to my dog when I was a kid....now I give them to my dog. They really to help clean her teeth....when she goes without for more than a week I can see a marked difference. The price has gone up over the years...but I have found you can purchase at a large box store like BJ's or Costco and then break the big box down into zip lock bags and you can save a good amount. LuLu loves 'em and I like that they keep her teeth white.

My maltipoo Lacey is not a fan of Milkbone nor is she a fan of greenies .But when you give her the greenie she won't even touch it.She'll move it from spot to spot but she won't take a bite  out of it for anything.Whereas with Milkbone she at least actually eats it from time to time.It took her a while to get used to it but she's now familiar with it enough to eat it but not always like with some other treats.I give it a  higher rating than a greenie!

Milkbones always go over well around here. They provide a quality product that I can trust. I switched over to buying cheap bulk biscuits for a while, but realized I'm not getting the benefits of milkbone biscuits. While I tend to go out of my way for special dog treats, I always have a box of Milkbones on hand as well. I give him a handful as I head out for work, and they last him the whole day.
