Mike Johnston - Compounding —

Mike Johnston - pharmacy technician text books - ALL!

I am so disappointed in this series of texts. There are far too many mistakes in publishing and grammar. Illustrations are inaccurate and too small. They are mostly geared towards retail and barely mention any hospital or specialty aspects of the field. Thankfully, my instructors were competent enough to make up for the dismal lack of instruction contained in these text books.

There were several occasions where my instructors had to put the book aside and teach "from-the-hip" in order to include every aspect of the pharmacy field. If one is obtaining their education from a retail facility and plan to remain only in retail then these books may be adequate. However, if the desire to extend one's horizon is the goal, steer clear from anything with author's name "Mike Johnston."

The Sterile Products Certification textbook contained so many errors my class was not able to complete the process. The tests themselves had terrible errors that caused even the most adept pupil to scratch their head in wonder. Unbelievable. It was as if there was no one to proof read anything prior to publishing.
