Great Cage with quality latches

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

I was very happy when I received this crate in the mail. It has sturdy wires which some cages do not. The tray in the bottom is of good quality and seems to be sturdy as well. So far, our dog loves his new crate and we couldn't be happier with the quality and fast arrival.

Great crate

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

This crate is very nice. I have one for a medium sized pitbull and he loves it. The double doors are nice because it makes it easier to put the crate in different places. It also comes with a divider if the dog is small when you get it and going to grow into a large dog, you can adjust the size while the dog grows.

Good crate for bad dogs

By

from Sugar Land, TX

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

We got our dog from the local animal shelter when he was about 1-2 years old.  The vet at the shelter recommended we get him a training crate until he learned to behave at home.  We got him the Midwest trianing crate and it soon became his new home.  The crate itself is quite durable and easy to assemble for your dog.  It had an extra divider door that we ended up not using since the crate is just big enough for Harrison to walk around.  At first he did not like being in the crate and fought going in it whenever he could.  Now he has gotten used to it and is willing to go in the crate for a treat (usually american cheese).  He has settled down quite a bit and is much better behaved while in the crate and also out of the crate.  I would definitely recommend crate training and this crate for young puppies who are still filled with more energy than they can handle.  It has really helped with our dog.

A high-quality, sturdy crate, but very difficult to assemble.

By

from Broadview Heights, OH

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

This crate has many excellent features.  The convenience of having 2 separate doors is not to be underestimated; if space is tight in your house or apartment, then it's nice to have the option of opening the crate on either the shorter or longer side.  Also, the plastic bottom of the crate is removable, which has been a godsend for us on more than 1 occasion when our puppies vomited in their crate!  Finally, the crate is very sturdy, even for our two 70-lb Siberian Huskies.

The only significant drawback of this crate is that it is very difficult to assemble and disassemble.  Even with two people, it is not only very heavy but also very confusing in terms of the folding-up that needs to be done. More than once, I have pinched my fingers while trying to disassemble it.  If you are going to put it up once and leave it in place for quite a while, however, then this attribute will not matter much to you1

Money well spent

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

I bought this crate to house break a puppy a couple of years ago.

It has been used over and over and I expect to have it pretty much forever.

It folds down nice for travel and is very easy to clean.

I love the two door entry as it lets you have a lot more choices of where you can place it.

It has a divider to make the crate smaller if need be also.

You can also buy a bed to place in it that fits nice and washes well.

If I ever need a second crate I will diffinately be buying another of these.

Couldn't get by without it

By

from Plainfield, IN

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

We use these at the animal rescue I volunteer with for dogs.  We got most of them donated but bought some from Petsmart.  They stack really well, as far as small ones on big ones and are easy to clean.  We just pull them outside, scrub them with parvocide, hose them off, and let them dry.  The tray comes out and everything.  We'd be lost without them!

Dog crate does the job, but what about comfort?

By

from Milford, MI

Comments about MidWest Life Stages Dog Crate:

I am known for spoiling my dog. She's small, she's cute and she's my princess. She likes to be pampered and I don't mind.

**The Life Stages Folding Double Door Dog Crate** is one of the things we tried when we were first potty-training her. Essentially, t got the job done. It was easy to assemble, it kept her locked in for her own safety and for the cleanliness of our house.

The only problem I had was the cage was actually a bit too big for her and she would go potty in the cage and just move her little butt to the other side so she didn't have to sit in it.

Needless to say, we had to invest in a small, portable dog crate that was just a little bigger than her body size so she wouldn't go potty in her safe place.

**The Life Stages Folding Double Door Dog Crate **would probably be good for mid-size dog. You might want to add some blankets or towels to make your dog comfortable andwarm though.
