Overall the Microtel Inn & Suites in Maggie Valley, NC got a high rating, however some members warn “please, please…avoid this place!” The great location “right in the center of Maggie Valley” was a hit with leisure travelers. Members also liked that it was only a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Now the negatives; one reviewer complained that the “sheets on the bed were dirty and stained.” Reviewers say that torn and dirty furniture and a “U” shaped bed (make sure you have the number of a nearby Chiropractor!) made their stay much less enjoyable. When we arrived at microtele we did not inspect the beds. instead when went about our adjenda only to find our apon return that evening that the sheets on one of the beds were dirty and stained. also the iron was not working which caused us a delay the next morning. we also noticed that another individual was charged less for the same room. when questioning the receptionist we where told that because they had a cancelation the rates were now cheaper and the rates are usually higher that weekend because of the conference. although we have stayed there four years in a row, i beleive we will… read full review »

The Microtel Inn in Maggie Valley was a very good value for travelers who visiting the area. Beds were comfortable, the room had frig and microwave, and was very clean. Hotel had nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great, including waffle maker, bagels, 2 juices, teas and coffees. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend highly.Recreational Attactions: Short Drive, Maggie Valley's commerical strip was just a short ride down the road, yet motel was quite and had adequate parking.
