I've been running WHS since when it first came out.
I have a modest network comprised of my WHS, my desktop PC and a netbook. The features I love most about WHS is the nightly backup, the ease of storage expansion and the ability to serve media throughout the house.
If for no other reason, the automatic nightly backup is enough of a sales point for me to recommend WHS to anyone. You might need someone technically inclined to get it setup, but once it's running, you'll rarely need to mess with it.
