I have had this MP3 for 4 years now. it has take a beating from me and it still works. has over 900 songs and its still has more than half of its memory. It stays in my purse so it gets hit with my keys and everything else. the battery last for days and the screen its big enough to watch movies. i just love it, it might not look as fancy and pretty as the new ones but it sure does its jobs and then some.

Between the sucky hardware and the not like-able price (I purchased years back, so it might be cheaper now) it offered nothing special that the other platforms did. It offered 1 nice mini game I liked, and a big/ bright screen, that really was the only plus's to it. I am going to break down my analysis with the same system I used in my other reviews, as in make my own categories and call it through 1-10 Sound Quality- The quality was ok, nothing special. It was the average off the mill sound quality, which is what most other products offered. Now it is completely outdated tech wise, but if rated in comparison with that time period, it was around a 5-7. Mine could have been especially good or bad so I added a 1 point wiggle room. Touch pad, like ease of use- Alright, this was by far the most amazing part of the product. I loved it. It was spot on amazing, I could do exactly what I wanted with it, and never struggled between 2 selections, but didn't have to spam my finger around like crazy on an ipod to get it to the selection I wanted. I would rate that an 7-9 1 point wiggle room again. Software- Complete and utter (profanity replaced with this) It was aweful. Horrible to use, and I hated using it. I got the zune for a discount (rated it based on real price) and the software required to get songs onto it was just plain bad. 3. No wiggle room, except maybe down to a 2. The zune's software was ok, nothing special compared to competitors, so I'd say like a 5. Hope this helped! (I picked 4 because of a weighted system of points, cause averaging them doesn't lead to 4. I didn't think the touchpad was important to the product, so that didn't help much.)

I loved my original Zune. Back in the wake of video becoming a necessity for Mp3 players, Zune was on the forefront of the wave, providing competition to the iPod that was beginning to blow up. Zunes were cool because they were more durable and allowed users to share songs between each other. Awesome!
