I picked up a wired controller as a backup for my wireless or for when I'm playing with someone at home instead of online. After using the wireless one consistently, the wired one does have a slightly different and less comfortable feel. It's not bad, and one could get accustomed to it, especially if using it consistently. But it just feels a little different than most other controllers that I've used (including on other systems). That being said, it does work great. It's got a long enough cord to reach several feet away from the console, so one doesn't need to sit extremely close to the tv in order to use it and play. It's also nice simply to save on batteries, not having the controller die in the middle of a game or needing to pay for batteries consistently. USB connections instead of the unique connection that the old X-box used is also a great improvement, probably the best that they made.

I have played on the XBox for many years, and I have always found the controller to be one of the most comfortable controllers on any system. It is not the fastest as far as delay time between pressing the buttons and the system responding, but it is still comfortable, and you don't really notice the slow reaction if you are just a casual player. I only rated it an 8 out of 10, because of the slow reaction time, but other than that, it is very reliable.

Stiff, rough buttons make the experience somewhat unpleasant, but it's bearable for the sake of not constantly replacing batteries or having to shell out the extra cash for a rechargeable battery pack. Plus, seeing as it's so much cheaper than a wireless pad it's worth the few discomforts.

This type of controller is better than wireless in my opinion because it can be used for both the Xbox 360 and the PC which is great, I like the wired so much more i went out and bought two of them.The wireless on the other hand is better for the Xbox 360 but not for PC in my opinion,When using a wireless controller on the PC you will have to go and download a software and have blue-tooth just to be able to sync it with your PC, So in conclusion if you are a gamer on both the PC and the Xbox 360 then you would probably prefer the wired controller over the wireless, also the weight of the two differ from one another, the wireless is much heavier then the wired controller.All around the wired controller feels and is better than the wireless either product though the wireless and wired controller are equally efficient and durable but with wired you will not have to worry about battery life and have to keep it charged.Happy Gaming.

Seriously! I have had a wide variety of consoles over the years, but no other controller has fit this well in my hands. Nintendo's controllers were always my favorite until the 360 controller. The wired model is better to me since it is easier to hook up to a computer. It's extremely versatile and I REALLY enjoy being able to use the familiar controller with both console games and some PC games. My only gripe is that the thumbsticks seem to wear out relatively quickly. The fact that I use them a lot probably doesn't help this issue though. Another benefit of a wired controller is that you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. That pesky problem, which always happens at the worst time, can be easily avoided with this product.

I love this controller. It worked perfectly with my PC. I connected it and it was recognized and it worked right off the bat. Plays games like Devil May Cry 4 and Dead space like a champ. Lets me play the games like they were supposed to be played, but without having to invest in an Xbox360 (although I do own one, so it would be more like investing in the wireless receiver).Comfort: I love it. The Xbox360 controller has to be one of the most ergonomic controllers out on the market right now. It fits perfectly in your hands and they don't cramp after hours of playing. Button placement is intuitive and is way better than the keyboard for a lot of games. Usability: Very easy to setup. Basically Plug and play. Games that support the controller already have the controls mapped out and you can begin playing right away. Love it. This controller is completely worth it. Get it now if you are at all considering it.

The Xbox 360 Wired Controller is a vast improvement over the original Xbox controller used for the original Xbox controller. The white and black buttons have been replaced by bumpers that are easier to access and use and the controller has taken on the design of the smaller version of the original controller, instead of the bigger bulky one, which is great news. New to this controller is the Xbox guide button which allows you at any time to check your online friends, messages, and navigate to different areas of the dashboard quickly. The controller is great and only has one problem for me, the fact that it's wired. Released alongside this controller is a wireless version, which is easily superior with the ability to ignore the hassles of cords and just to have the general convience of not worrying about any of the cord issues. This is a great controller though and if you can't afford a wireless controller, this is your next best purchase.

The Xbox 360 Gamepad is a very nice controller by Microsoft. Whether you are using it to play games on an Xbox 360 or using it for games on a Windows computer, the controller provides a hassel free experience. I prefer using this gamepad to a mouse and keyboard configuration for certain platformers. For example, Super Meat Boy works fine using a mouse and keyboard, yet the controls are much easier to handle when using a gamepad. If you are using this with a Windows computer, all that you have to do is plug the controller into a free USB port. In most cases, Windows will search for a driver and will find one with Windows update. After that is finished, the controller will now be recognized whenever you plug it into your computer. This will allow games that have support for the controller to automatically recognize that it is plugged in. You can also use third party programs such as Xpadder to assign keys to each of the buttons on the controller. All in all, this controller is a very good product with a comfortable design.
