Oh where to start about the beloved XBOX 360... the system in my house is used on a daily basis for 4 hours PLUS, each day. My husband is a huge gamer, he upgraded from the original XBOX as soon as the 360 console came out. When the graphics are paired with a HD tv, they are amazing. There is a really large selection of games and game types for this console, everyone in the family would surely find something that appealed to them. When you add a subscription to XBOX Live its no longer just about beating the game, but entering the online world and competing against other gamers (when the game allows, not all have online capabilities), making friends and sometimes working as a team. If you do choose to get a XBOX Live subscription, I suggest checking out Toy R Us or online for a year long subscription, they tend to go on sale and will save you a bundle (I've seen 1 year for as low as $29.99). When you use XBOX Live you get updates and can download new game content or map packs, which keeps your interest in a certain game longer. You can download music to the console that will play while you play, you can watch movies on it, or rent them through the program preloaded onto the system. We have Netflix at home and just recently they teamed with XBOX so now if you have netflix and a XBOX live subscription you can watch movies instantly (all of this requires the internet of course). This is used the most during the day when my husband is working. They make pretty cool attachments for the system as well, different controllers, microphones, keypads for typing messages easier, and they are easily found in the electronics sections at the store. XBOX has its downfalls, with the 3 lights of death and that stuff, we are on our 4th XBOX, but XBOX was understanding and replaced the first 3, it is quite a wait though (4-6 weeks) and they provide you with 1 free month of XBOX live with each replacement. Finally my husband traded his broken one in to GameStop and bought a warranty to replace it there instead of mailing it to Microsoft. Overall, outstanding product, when you use a poduct so much in your home, things are going to go wrong with it, but its well loved and worth all the extra games and yearly subscriptions. We also have a Wii, I am not biased, but this is the best system for us and the most used.
