To the Point

My husband has never been able to get used to using the touch pads on the computer rather than a mouse. I'm quite proficient at the touch pads and prefer them over a mouse but in comes the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse Model Number 3000. He loves it. I don't but I'll be objective.

A Closer View

The Microsoft Mouse 3000 has a lot to offer.

  • It's small coming in at less than 4 inches long by a little more than 2 inches acros
  • It's very very light weight. You'll find it where we bought ours at amazon for less than $20.00. It comes in lots of pretty colors. Ours is Aloe Green.

When I was about to purchase my Compaq Presario CQ60-410US notebook computer a few weeks ago, one of the decisions I made was to buy as many of the accessories I knew it would need as my limited budget would allow.  After all, even though the nearly $400 price tag clearly puts my new laptop in the affordable range for the average computer buyer, it represents a ginormous expense for this freelance writer/reviewer and thus requires both protection/portability (in the shape of a Targus CVR217 Neoprene Slip Case) and ease of use (via a wireless mouse).

Thus when I bought my CQ60-410US notebook...

I travel a lot for my job. When I am at work I rely upon my docking station  and my wired mouse. But with the power cord and brick, the removable disk drive (I have a tablet laptop and there just isn't room for a disc player), the charging cords for my black berry, cell phone and kindle, I just cant handle an more cords.

Enter the Microsoft Wireless Optical 3000 Wireless Mouse. I was skeptical that it would work. Would it roll, would I have to put my had at an odd angle to make sure the optical eye had the correct contact with its receiver... on and on I worried that this would be a disappointment...

The Microsoft Wireless Optical 3000 Wireless Mouse is a workhorse and is super-convenient to set up.  The design is ergonomic, no hand-cramping happening here!, and is designed for both right-handed and left-handed users.  It uses very little energy, requiring only infrequent battery changes.  One disappointment is rechargeable batteries really can't be used in the mouse, they just don't have enough "juice"!

The Wireless Mouse comes with a receiver that is simply plugged into a USB-port on the side of your laptop.  At times it can become a little obtrusive as it sticks out of the side; if you...

I just got this new wireless keyboard and mouse, and I love it! I was looking for a wireless mouse and found a great deal @ Dell! For approxumately the same amount of money I'd have spent on just the mouse, I found a 'bundle' for $40.00! I wanted the mouse for the versatility of wireless and now have a wireless keyboard, as well! What a deal!
