I did not care for this product. It broke down in less than two months. It was bulky and loses conection. Also, it uses up battery power too fast. For the price, you can get a better wireless mouse. I recently purchased a laptop computer, and one thing I hate more than anything is using touch-pads. I simply suck when it comes to touch-pads. They annoy me, they bother me, they are glitchy to me. Or...maybe I am just used to using a mouse on my work desktop computer.

Either way though, when I got the new laptop, I wanted a wireless mouse to go with it. No wires, no touch-pads, just ease of use.

Finding the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse has been a laptop blessing ever since.

You presented a great review.  I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 4000.  I agree with all of your highlighted points.  I would like to add that on the 4000 mouse, there is a button on the side that will magnify anything you would like to see closer.  The magnifier is also simple to use.  The button on the top left side of the sleek, contoured mouse is basically the on-off button.  The magnified area will move as you move your mouse over the text or picture.  This is my 3rd wireless mouse and the other 2 don't come close to the quality of the Microsoft Wireless 4000!

I bought this mouse in pink. I really like the feel of the mouse, it fits my hand perfectly. It also connects to the laptop instantly and does not require any installation. It turns off easily by just putting the usb onto the back of the mouse. it also only uses one AA battery and it lasts a few months with everyday use. It is also very easy to change the battery, just push the big button on the end of the mouse and the cap pops open. I got this mouse on sale for 18$ so you get a lot for a small price. They also come in many different colors.

I just purchased this Microsoft mouse for my HP laptop and love it.  Its just the perfect size.  I love the fact you only have to put in a little wireless what ever its called.  You insert the wireless adapter into any usb port.  Unlike some wireless mouse I have seen where you have this cord coming out and a place to sit you wireless mouse..  All you have here is a device thats smaller then my picky finger and fits in any usb slot.  I love it and it works great.

- I have (3) of these:  one at home, one at work and one with my laptop. When I found (2) of them on sale for under $15 I had to snag them.  They're small, easy to pack around & have worked well for me.

- There is no setup - just connect it to the USB port and you're ready!  The one AA battery last a while.
