Microsoft Windows XP Professional w/ Service Pack 2 — 

I now have vista sadly instead of this masterpiece of an operating system, and i regret every bit of it. Performance with xp is far more than with vista and plus there are a ton of bugs in vista even after the sp1 update. Not to mention the compatibility issues with vista. Simply put....Buy xp! not vista!

Yes that is very true, and a lot of people have had a good experience with vista. but im just talking about in general with all the issues that i had and the ones i read in forums around the web.

I have to disagree with you. I have Vista and I love it. Couldn't be happier. Usually the issue is the hardware it is used with and not Vista itself.
