I am so angry with my computer right now that I just dont think I can possibly be objective.... but I will try. Vista has been challenging for me since day.

Vista, first and foremost, is a pretty big deviation from past microsoft products. It required me to re-train myself on where to find nearly EVERYTHING!

Vista was also incredibly buggy. My computer started crashing more than ever before. So incredibly frustrating and annoying for a computer addict.

I also hated that no partners, colleagues or friends had vista, so opening files became a total nightmare on their part.

Overall, I really dislike vista.................. and would get rid of it if I could.

Sorry your having so many problems with Vista. I start use in November 2008. Been luck not to have any.

How would opening files from vista to xp be a problem? If you have NEW software and your friends are too cheap to upgrade then you need to save as the OLD version. The OS vista has nothing to do with software installed. It's how you save it.

Yes I feel your pain! I've removed Vista from my new laptop and loaded Windows XP . . . Vista has too many bugs and has caused me many headaches!

Ouch!! You are not alone in your "strong" dislike of Vista, my wife hated it so much I had to remove it from her computer and go back to Windows XP! And I do not particularly care for Vista either, but you will be happy to know that Windows 7 is much, much better than Vista.

BTW, it order for those without Office 2007 to read your files, install the Office 2007 Compatability Pack (download it from Microsoft's website) on your computer; the program will make you files readable by those still using Oggice 2003 and or Office XP.
