As for those who bought a new PC with Vista on it, I feel your pain. Unfortunately every single PC maker preloads their computers with a ton of useless trial software, ads, silly settings and tools that should be uninstalled as soon as you boot up. Or better yet, just format it fresh.
Who's fault is it? Microsofts? No, they made a great OS that other companies choose to corrupt. Is it the retailers fault? No, because while Geek Squad can offer an optimization to clear up some of that junk, they cant spend 6 hours per PC uninstalling every single feature, because thats how long it takes.
People have reviewed Vista and said terrible things about it. But if you simply know how to use it and you're not a complete idiot Vista works fine. I use it myself and it's perfect.
