In the past I have used several of the Windows programs, such as Windows 95,98, 2000, and even XP, none with any great problems, they're all a little different but all compatible.  I had to purchase a new computer for my home and unfortunately, you guessed it, it came with the Vista Home Premium Edition already installed on it.  Now, none of my prior software programs work with vista, and if you're communicating with another program or website that does not run vista then you're SOL.  It freezes up on you, this is the 2nd time I'm writing this review because my computer just froze up in the middle of it.  Its a pain to use, also annoying, have to be asked constantly for permission to do the simplist jobs.  I've never had this many problems with a program before.  I consulted a computer GEEK and he told me that for $50 he can take that crap off my computer and install Windows XP for me, I really think that that's what I'm going to do.  It will be cheaper to pay the $50 than to have to buy ALL new software programs to run with Vista and besides who knows how long Vista will be around, with any luck it will have a very, very, very short life.

I_thumb_down Microsoft Vista Home Premium is not recommended by vaughn58
