Decent Tablet

3

When I first got my Surface Pro the day after I had it, I had to take it back because it overheated and wouldn't come back on. After getting a new one I've been pretty satisfied but, disappointed often. For the price that it costs I feel that it could come with a keyboard already and the battery life should be a lot better. My battery lasts about 1.5 hours and that's just with me browsing the internet and such without watching videos. Mine also tends to overheat a lot, the fan will come on and the tablet will be hot for quit some time. If it wasn't for those things then, it would be great. It isn't too big or too small and is great for on the go when you need to get work or schooling done. Being able to customize it is pretty awesome and make it YOURS! I'm not sure how the newer ones are but, hopefully they're better than the first one. Overall, I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone that I know unless they've made improvements to the newest versions.

Powerful Windows 8 Tablet

4

The Surface Pro was my first Windows 8 Tablet. I was blown away by the power of this machine. I picked this tablet to be my travel workhorse. The screen is very vibrant and clear, but I initially had some problems with it's lack of sensitivity to touch. It would take me a couple of attempts to drag items in Photoshop or to just type a word with the on screen keyboard. All of this was fixed when Windows updated the drivers. I am able to play a lot of graphic intense games on the Surface Pro at a decent frame rate, but I do have to lower the settings. I can run most games at 30+ frames at 1280x720 resolution. The only downside to playing games on the surface is that the battery drains quickly. The battery will only last a little over 3 hours before it's dead. Because of this I keep a charger on me at all times. Physically the Surface was built like a tank for the most part, but the hinge on the back became weak as time went on. I ended up selling the Surface Pro to save up for the Surface Pro 3. At this point I wouldn't recommend the Surface Pro because the Surface Pro 2 and 3 are more powerful and most importantly have longer battery life.

Good Tablet

4

This is a pretty good tablet. It's light weight and fast. The biggest disappointment is the camera. It's pictures are fairly grainy and there is no way to create albums to group your pics. I've been told that you can buy a better camera app but I was disappointed that I should have to pay for something that is advertised as part of the tablet. Battery Life The battery lasts about 4 hours with continuous use. Lasts almost all day if you only use it for an hour or two. Processing Speed It's fast. It works just as fast as any table top computer I've used. Weight It's very light weight and easy to carry around. App Availability Comes with the basics but you can purchase many more. Design Typical design, attractive. Durability It's as durable as any good tablet not any better, not any worse.

Absolutely love this thing!!!

I was very skeptical about this when I first looked at it and even after purchasing it. I had people recommend the Surface pro to me, but thought I would be better off with a simple tablet, but I was so wrong. This thing is a life saver and so convenient to use. I have a laptop, but carrying around a full size laptop gets old really quick especially cause it is heavy and the battery on it dies pretty quick. I have the 64g Surface pro, but the battery life on it is amazing. I use this mainly for school as it is so light and can be carried in my purse or school bag easily. I can have it fully charged and use it at school from noon until about seven at night and the battery not die on me. I love that it functions as a tablet, but has a windows program so it is setup like a desktop or laptop and also has a built in webcam and camera. It also has an attached kick stand so unlike a tablet, you do not have to buy a separate case with a stand to prop it up. I have dropped it a couple times and once was on tile floor!! I freaked because with mac or any of the other tablets, the screen will straight up shatter on you with the littlest drop. I do have warranty on this so I wasn't that worried, but still nobody I know every wants to deal with broken screens. Not a scratch on the thing!!!! I do use it some for work and personal activities and it is just simply amazing. I really don't have anything bad to say about it other than, it is a little pricey and the accessories for it are a bit expensive. You have to purchase the keyboard that can attach to the surface pro separately. Overall, just love love love!!! I love it more than my laptop and computer put together. Such a worthwhile investment.

Great tablet for productivity and nice laptop replacement

5

I have had several tablets, but what I've always wanted was something that could take the place of my laptop, meaning I had to be able to actually WORK on it. I've had Android tablets, and they're great for games and watching movies, but the productivity tools are just not good. I need something that works with Office products, and I need my keyboard shortcuts too. Finally, I purchased a Surface Pro, and I couldn't be happier with it. It feels quality-made, and it's really easy to use. I love that I can run Office as well as Photoshop, which I absolutely need for my work. The screen is nice, and it runs really, really well - better than any other tablet I've used. Probably the main complaint I've heard about the surface is the Windows 8 interface, and I have come to find that it's not that hard to use - it does have its quirks, but I really like it. It's stylish and pretty easy to use. There is certainly a learning curve, though... Sure, there aren't many apps that I downloaded, but that's not why I wanted this tablet - I wanted to work on it, and it's perfect for that. The detachable keyboard/case is the best. Compact, cute, and easy-to-use.

Good product, can't say anything bad about it!

Wonderful to use anywhere, light, attractive, with or without the keyboard. I use it for home use, but also for business. Battery Life Could be better, seems to run low quickly. I have the settings on energy saving also Processing Speed Excellent for my needs, I use it for both home and work, Have been able to access everything very quickly Weight Very light, easy to hold on to, great for on the lap, also. Easy to take anywhere .Love the feel of it in my hands, it is smooth, with no sharp corners. Very cool looking! App Availability Very few apps available, that I am interested in, first I'm looking for free and I like puzzle games. They say Microsoft is going to be releasing more, soon. It has a great free program that I can do Word on, which is really helpful! Design Very cool, stylish, especially with the keyboard. Almost everyone comments on it, no matter where I use it. Certainly a crowd pleaser!!! I like having the newest and best products, when they are released. Durability I am careful with my electronics, I have had no problem. I also carry it in a case with the keyboard on it to protect the screen. I also use a stylist when I am using the touchscreen alot
