great keyboard with classic natural feel, now in black to match

Comments about Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite PS/2, USB Black English (North America):

I have been a natural user for about 10 years now. I've had the natural pro, and an original white natural elite, as well as things like the natural multimedia blue. I've also used the natural wireless multimedia and briefly had a natural 4000.

That said i picked up a new Natural black to replace a natural multimedia blue. Reasons being the blue doesnt have usb support and it was getting dirty. I originally picked up a natural elite 4000 when it came out as at the time it was really my only choice. That said the 4000 sucks as it has a smaller split angle than other naturals and also most woudl agree the keys are mushy and its spacebar sucks. I was not a big fan of the wierd leather palmrest either.

So basically the natural elite black is just the elite but black (and the elite has been out for a long time). It definitely has that classic natural key feel and i'm glad microsoft keeps selling it as a 2nd natural model (i find it odd that the push for ergonomic keyboards slowly died over the years when it was a big deal back in the late 90s / early 2000s). Anyhow if you like the key feel of an original natural pro then this is basically your only choice outside of buying a used keyboard (something that is slightly disgusting in my experience).

Also as added background i'm a programmer and obviously type a lot. ANY natural will save your wrists over time, even if you just use the internet to chat a lot. I recommend everyone get a natural or who knows 20 years from now your wrists might be in horrible pain.

The natural for me is still bar none the best ergo keyboard. I've even tried a goldtouch and a few coworkers have things like the kinesis models, but for me the cheaper and in my opinion better natural still is best.
