Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Review

Just when you think Microsoft no longer listens and/or cares about those of us with Windows XP...they surprise us with Internet Explorer 8.  It's not THAT much different from Internet Explorer 7, but you can customize it a lot more than the old browser. 

I chose to keep things pretty much as they were before.  But, you can make changes anytime you want.  There is one new tab I like in particular.  The "Safety" tab allows a person to report an unsafe site.  Just drop down on the "Safety" tab, then choose "SmartScreen Filter" then "Report Unsafe Website".

Another safety feature...  You can set it up to automatically delete all browsing history & cookies when you close.  Under "Tools" drop down to "Internet Options" then check "Delete browsing history on exit".  Click "Apply" and "OK".  This is very helpful if you do any on-line banking and/or Internet shopping using a credit card. 

Hey...if you're going to be on the Internet, you may as well stay up-to-date!
