easy, comfortable and good performance

Comfort Designed by experts for comfort in either hand, with rubber grips featured on each side of the mouse. Snap-in Receiver Plug in the receiver when you ready to work, then snap it into your mouse when you travel, preserving battery life. 4 Buttons Use the Back button to easily navigate folders or Web pages, and press the scroll wheel for AutoScroll. Battery Status Indicator Red light indicates when your battery is running low. High Definition Optical Technology Microsoft High Definition Optical mouse products are more precise, more responsive, and deliver smoother tracking. ........i purchase this product and this could not bee easier to set up. The USB connector clips into the underside of the mouse when not in use which preserves battery life and also keeps it all together as a one peace wich makes it easy to move. The mouse is easy to take with you any where, its just the right size for use - some laptop mice look really small but this one isn't. I would highly recommend this product to anybody who is looking for a wireless mouse

Poor Appearance After Longtime Use

I bought this mouse on sale for 40% off. I'd wanted a wireless mouse for a while so I decided to purchase this one. Within a week, the scroll wheel malfunctioned, and then after a month, the paint on top of the mouse started to chip off and fade. Now it appears as if someone took a sharp object and scraped off the color. However, the mouse itself still works for point and click . Battery life is awful if you leave the usb plugged in. Otherwise it has a great benefit of the receiver can be removed from the usb and placed on the base of the mouse where it turns off the battery usage. My favorite feature is the built in back button at the base of the scroll wheel. That is easy to use but not easy to accidentally strike. Performance Scroll wheel messed up after a week, but everything else works. Durability Durability is good for simple mouse clicking but the scroll wheel is iffy. Design Very comfortable shape and easy to move around on a proper mouse pad. Comfort The shape of the mouse keeps your hand in a comfortable position and wrists don't get strained.

Excellent mouse with handy Back Button built in

My old Compaq mouse finally died on me and I was needing a new mouse as the track pad on my laptop was really annoying me as I typed. If my thumb brushed the pad as I hit the space bar, the cursor would jump to where it landed messing up my words. I went out and found this wireless four button mouse made specifically for laptops or notebook. Its small enough for my small hands (I don't like large mice as my hands get tired quickly) and it has a built-in back button below the scroll wheel. No more moving the mouse to the back button on the toolbars. It's also a pretty economical mouse: it only needs one AA battery instead of two AA or two AAA as many others require. Another plus: I have a pinched nerve in my neck which, when aggravated, runs down my right arm and to my hand. Because of this, I frequently use my left hand when using the mouse (which sometimes bugs my husband when he wants to use my computer, he starts looking for the mouse with his right hand and it itsn't there. I just laugh). This mouse feels just as comfortable in my left hand as it does my right. There's no awkwardness at all. Rating: A+

Microsoft Mobile 3000 mouse fits in the palm of my hand

4

When I first got this mouse I wasn't less than thrilled -it's small and it took some getting used to. When I ordered it I didn't realize that mobile mouse meant smaller. But as time has passed I've grown quite fond of the mouse and it's size. It fits very comforatbly in the palm of my hand. I'm of small stature being 5 foot tall and this mouse really fits my hand. I just ordered a second one for my daughter to replace her wired and useless mouse! She insists on pink or brown everything and happily this mouse comes in a nice array of colors including pink or brown! I bought her the pink one and I have the green one. The mouse is connected via a usb receiver. It's not a micro receiver -it's about 2" long. It truly is plug and play, every computer I've connected this mouse to, has instantly recognized it. No software to install is a nice bonus. Battery life is pretty decent - I think it's much more efficient than some of its full size counterparts. I've had my mouse for over a year and it's still performing well and I'm a heavy computer user. I'm very satisfied with my mouse!

Love this mouse

I am on my home laptop over 5 hours per day.  I am not tech savvy but enjoy searching out information and staying connected.  With that in mind I started having trouble with my laptops mouse.  It was not responding as it used to.  I decided something had to be done.  I decided an external mouse was the thing to do.  I had no idea there were so many choices.  Wireless or wired,  shape, size, color, length of receiver, etc.  CHOICES.  After talking with others I decided on the Microsorft wireless mobile mouse 3000 in black.  I have been very, very happy with it.  It was very easy to set up.  Basically just plug it in and push a button on both the receiver and mouse so that they recognize each other.  Now just go.  It has been very responsive and maneuverable.  The only place I have had trouble with it responding is on my smooth kitchen counters.  It works on every other surface I have tried.  The only down side is that the receiver that plugs into the computer sticks out and I do have the fear of bending it.  It has not happened yet so I am thinking positive.  I am just trying to figure out why I did not get one sooner!

Wireless Mouse makes surving a whole lot easier

This is my second wireless mouse. My first mouse was wireless, but had a receiver the size of my hand connected to a wire. That was not quite what I was looking for and I quickly switched back to a wired mouse. After looking around for awhile, I stumbled upon this Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3000. It was on sale for 10.00 and I figured it couldn't be any worse. There were many colors to choose from such as blue, green, pink and purple. There may have been a black one, but I'm not sure. The mouse included a usb receiver that is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches long. Installing was a breeze and it was pretty much plug it in and the computer recognized it. I run Windows 7 and there were no compatibility issues. The mouse is very ergonomical. It fits my hand very well and has rubber grips on the side. It is not overly large, so it fits in a laptop bag very easily. There is an indention on the bottom of the mouse where you can store the USB receiver when you need to pack it up and take it somewhere. I usually use my leg or the couch instead of a mouse pad and it tracks pretty well. The only thing I would change is the size of the receiver. I really wish I would have held out for a micro receiver.

A great travel mouse

I got the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mouse 3000 a year ago. This mouse has shown itself to be a very handy device. When I am sitting a table with my laptop or netbook I find it frustrating to use the touchpad. The touchpad is great for when I am on the go and only using my computer for a few minutes but anything longer than that I begin to get frustrated. That is where this mouse comes in. It is small and very portable. This allows me to throw it in my laptop case while I'm on the go. I can easily take the mouse out, plug in the receiver and now I have an actual mouse to use instead of the touchpad. The mouse works great on lots of different surfaces. This is not a very high end mouse so it doesn't work on glass or surfaces like that. That is to be expected because this mouse is not very expensive. The feature that I like the most about this mouse it the wireless receiver that plugs into a USB port. The receiver fits into the bottom of the mouse. This means that I don't have to leave it in my computer and I never have to look for it. Also when the receiver is in the bottom of the mouse it turns the mouse off saving battery power. I really like this mouse and would recommend it to anyone.

I like the Microsoft 3000 wireless mobile Mouse

4

We've owned three of these little wireless mouses and they do what they're meant to do. The set up is super easy, just put in the battery, plug in the USB and go. It has left and right buttons and a scroll wheel. The USB connector inserts right into the bottom of the mouse for transport, storage, or to just turn the mouse off and save the battery. The only complaints I have is that they seem to fail after about a year. Like the sensor light just goes out or something. And when I plug something into the USB port underneath the port I use for the mouse, it disconnects my mouse. That might be a problem within my computer though. I will keep buying this mouse because the price is reasonable and it is easy to set up and use in multiple computers.

Best mobile mouse!

This review is the for the microsoft wireless mobile mouse 3000.  I have bought several versions of this mouse for my family and it's awesome.  When you plug in the usb receiver into the laptop, it connects instantly and you don't have to wait to use your mouse.  I've tried a bluetooth mouse from microsoft before and there were always problems with connectivity.  The only thing that I think could be improved with this mouse is that the usb receiver could be smaller.  I think the newest version of this mouse has that!  The usb receiver is much smaller and fits into the mouse to be stored and to stop the battery from being used up just like before.  If I didn't have so many of these mice already I would get the new one!  Also, when the receiver stopped working for one of them, I just filled out a warranty at microsoft.com and they sent me a completely new mouse to use!  This is my favorite mouse so far.
