This is a kitchen tool from a company that began by making workshop tools. That means that the edges are extremely sharp. This is a box grater, which means that it can stand up on its own, and has more than one grating surface. This model has two surfaces, one with large edges/holes for shredding cheese or vegetables like onions or carrots, and a side with small edges/holes for zesting citrus, grating hard cheese, etc. The food falls down the middle of the box onto your work surface or plate.

I have always used a simple grater with a single surface, that you have to hold up over your bowl, plate, or work surface. I find this box model much easier to work with, it doesn't move around.

I've only used this product once, but I couldn't believe how easy it was to zest a lemon. Sounds crazy. Barely used any pressure, the lemon was perfectly zested, all of the rind and none of the pith. I'll write again when I need it for cheese and veggies.
