I am a 26 year old who decided I wanted to learn and take up sewing. My husband got this for me for Christmas last year. It is a great starter sewing machine and is very easy to use. The instructions that come with it are hard to read and the pictures aren't the greatest quality but once you get it down its so simple. I started out just practicing on some cheap fabric I got at the store. It was a light flannel. I then tried to do a fleece fabric and I had to go slow and steady. The machine is really not made for anything other than a light fabric. If you are planning to do anything else, this is really not the machine for you. I had broken one needle when I was using just it on the fleece fabric. It is very light and easy to carry around. I have three little ones running around so I am always carrying it room to room setting it up where ever I can. I would definatly recommend this little sewing machine for anyone wanting to start out and get into sewing as a hobby.
