My little brother introduced me to Amber Bock in the summer of 1999 and I have enjoyed it ever since that day. I have my favorite beers such as Budweiser, Michelob and Miller Genuine Draft that I enjoy depending on my mood or activity. Michelob Amber Bock is the heavier beer out of my favorites but has its place in them just as the others do. — — Michelob Amber Bock — — Michelob first introduced Amber Bock in 1997 as an addition to thier already great line of American Beers. on meds...off beer
I agree with kid-kansas; I enjoy...or use to enjoy an Amber Bock with food. The doctors have me on meds which say to avoid alcohol. ): My "EX" used to try & try to get me hooked on her brand of dark beer. I couldn't stand it. After trying several, I came across Michelob Amber Bock at my favorite Sports Bar & Grill..."Rookies". Man, oh man...a "Trevino's Favorite" with a bottle of Amber Bock and I was in heaven. a beer drinker, a grill master, like to dabble in the kitchen, value conscious
American brewing traditions are relative babies compared to the Europeans, and so too are the facitilites when compared with monasteries and breweries that have actually operated pretty much continuously for almost 1000 years over in Europe...So while Michelob's efforts at Amber Bock are OK, they aren't really a competitor to the stouts and Bocks from overseas. It almost seems as if somebody mixed a bock with a good pilsner. It has the darker, smokier flavor, but the smokey flavor seems a bit forced, almost like using artificial flavoring.
