Mia Bella Gourmet Cleansing Bar Review

I was introduced to Scent-Sations, Inc.‘s Mia Bella products through my sister-in-law who raves about them. She bought me a Mia Bella's Gourmet Cleansing Bar as a gift through FlameswithFlair.com and now I am hooked!

The Facts

Scent-Sations, Inc. is primarily known for their Mia Bella scented candles but they also sell car air fresheners and bath and body products.

About the "Bella Bar": 

• Large 5 Oz. Body Bar
• Can use to cleanse, shave and shampoo
• Won't soften and dissolve like other soaps
• Will last one person 4-6 weeks
• Contains Soy Proteins & Fruit Oils

The "Bella Bar" that I was given was in the scent of Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper. When I read the name of the fragrance, the Chili Pepper part didn't sound like something that would smell good. When I got the package closer to my face, I could immediately smell the amazing scent coming through. Wow. It was a fantastic combination that I would never have dreamed of putting together. The Sweet Orange is the dominant scent with there just being a hint of the Chili Pepper. Bella Bars also come in five other scents, which include Grapefruit/Lavender, Mystical Melon, Juniper Breeze, Slate & Stone (men's) and Japanese Pear.

This 5 oz. cleansing bar is a white/translucent color and has a curve in the middle for better handling. When I apply this amazingly scented bar to my skin, the lather is thick and generous. The lather rinsed off well and left no residue behind. My skin felt soft and I was pleased that the very strong scent only left behind a gentle fragrance. It doesn't interfere with any other scented lotion or perfume that I like to apply. According to the website, this bar can be used not only for cleansing but also for shampooing hair and even as a shaving cream. I did try this bar to shave with and the lather was thick and creamy, leaving my legs soft. Unfortunately, I was not as impressed with this product as a shampoo. I have long, naturally curly hair that tends to be dry. Even though the lather from the Bella Bar rinsed out well and left my my hair smelling great, it looked somewhat dull and was very difficult to comb through. Others with a different hair type or length may have better results than I did.

The Mia Bella's Gourmet Cleansing Bar is definitely worth the $5.95 price tag because it lasts for up to six weeks and you are getting three products in one. It is great for someone who likes to travel light or for that person on the go. The scents are amazing and skin is left soft and gently fragranced.
