Workhorse!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

If you are looking to replace those dangerous, phosphate filled, commercially used dishwasher detergents you have been using, look no further than Method's Smarty Dish Pink Grapefruit Dishwasher Pacs! These bad boys REALLY pack a punch! These Method pacs clean gunk and grime off of my dishes BETTER than Cascade, and leave them sparkling and clean.  I love that they are so convenient - you just put the little tablet into your detergent cup - no messy powder or gel to contain.  Often times "green" products do not perform as well as the standard products, but Method does a fabulous job of creating Earth friendly products that work as well, or better, than mainstream cleaners. The Smarty Dish pacs are no exception - your dishes will come out looking great, and you will not be exposing your family to any of the nasty chemicals that are in standard dishwasher detergents.  All in all, the Method Smarty Dish pacs are a great choice for you and your dishes!

My favorite Dish Detergent

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I was thrilled to find several packages of the** Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent** on clearance at my local grocery store.  I had already tried Method products and I loved them for their great cleaning powers and wonderful fragrances, not to mention that they are environmentally safe.

Okay, I love anything grapefruit scented. It just smells so clean and fresh.  Talk about an instant and caffeine-free energy boost.  The best part about the** Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent** is when that amazing grapefruity aroma is warmed and activated while your dishwasher cleans your dishes.

Oh, and did I menti...

Method Dishwashing Tabs are convenient and eco-friendly!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent Tabs because I use as many eco-friendly products as possible for the home, my kids and my body. I also love citrus scents, especially pink grapefruit, so naturally, I had to have these.

What I like about Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent Tabs:

  • They are made with eco-friendly, biodegradable ingredients

  • Bleach-free and Phosphate-free

  • Come in an easy-to-use, mess-free tablet

When you smell inside the bag, you can smell the yummy pink grapefruit, but unfortunately, that's as far as the scent goes. I can't smell it when the dishes are washing, and there's no hint of a ...

method's Smarty Dish Detergent Tabs are powerful but pricey.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

As a huge fan of method cleaning products, I pretty much can't stop myself from picking up anything new in the line that I see as I cruise the aisles of Target. I had just placed a 90 piece container of Cascade All-in-One dishwasher detergent tablets into the cart when I noticed method Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent pellets a little further down the aisle.  I tossed a container of those into the cart, too.

method states that their Smarty Dish Dishwasher Detergent provides "a powerful clean with no phosphates, no bleach."  We could also add "no animal testing" to that claim.  Each detergent tablet is large, oblong in shape, and a combination...

Great smell, planet friendly and effective!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I am always looking for environmentally friendly cleaners and other products.  I've been using Method laundry detergent for quite a while.  I didn't have a dishwasher for ages, but when I moved into an apartment that had one, I went looking for some Method dishwasher tabs.I'm really happy with the Method Pink Grapefruit dishwashing tabs.  They smell great, and the smell dissipates after the dishes come out of the dishwasher.  We had a pan come out with white residue on it, but that's the only time that we've ever had an issue.  The same pan came out with the residue when we used other dishwasher tabs as well, so I'm not sure that it's related to this product. It is a bit more expensive than your regular dishwasher tab, but I think it's worth it in order to offset my carbon footprint.  If you're looking for something environmentally friendly and effective, pick up Method Pink Grapefruit dishwasher tabs.

Method works great, smells nice, and is green!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I prefer the convenience of dishwasher detergent that comes in tab form so you can easily drop in the right amount, but once I had a baby eating off my dishes I was looking to find a green-er version. I tried a couple other brands of "green" and not-so-green detergent and was really unhappy with how they all performed. Food was constantly stuck onto the dishes, and often the dishwasher would just smell weird after a cycle. Finally I tried the Method brand and they worked as well as the chemical-laden brand I was buying previously. No dishwashing detergent is perfect, but the Method got the dishes cleaner than most other brands. I do some pre-rinsing, but I'm not obsessive about it. The dishes almost always come out perfect! I do wish it was a little easier to find this detergent at more stores--in my area the only store I can find that routinely has it is Target. But given the performance I am happy to keep making a special trip.

Works great, safe for my family and the environment

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent is wonderful!  I do not use any chemicals in my home so I have tried many different "Green" dishwasher products.  This is by far my favorite for several reasons:

1.  It comes in tablet form so I don't have messy powder to deal with and I don't have to worry about using too much or too little (take the guess work out of it)

2.  It's pretty affordable (worth paying a little extra for safe cleaning)

3.  It is sold at my local Target store so I don't have to order online like some other brands I have used in the past.

4.  It really, works! I never have food left on my dishes or residue. I haven't even been using a finishing gel (Jet Dry type product) because I haven't needed to.

5. The obvious reason- it's safe for my whole family- the only way I would sanitize baby bottles is with a non-toxic cleaner. And it's safe for the environment too!

Method is usually a fav but not this one.

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

This Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Detergent has NOT been my favorite.  It works okay but not the best.  I will say it does get my dishes clean but often leaves some little pieces of food or gunk in the tops of the top rack dishes.  I have no clue if its the detergent or the dishwasher but from my experience other detergents don't do this.  I do enjoy the types of cleaning products that come in "packs" since it's so convient.  I mean hey less measuring and wasting right!?  So in that regard they seem great - nice little oval nuggest of cleanliness.  And I would say they work great about half of the time.  Which isn't great.  Often I'll have some dishes that need to be hand washed afterwards or put back in for another cycle - total waste of water and resources!  When using these method cleaning pods you may have to do a little more pre rinsing than others.  I would give this product a B-.

Safe dishwashing and smells great.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I love Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty Dish Dish washer detergent tabs.  They are convenient, work well (although admittedly I thoroughly pre-rinse my dishes) and smell great.  I have always used tab/single serving dishwasher detergents.  Many of the usual brands have lots of chemicals in them.  I can't say for sure if these chemicals are people or planet unfriendly, but like many Method products, smarty dish is biodegradable and non-toxic.  Two things I like.

I enjoy using this dish detergent everyday.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I like that it is made from naturally derived products. It is highly concentrated so uses less which saves money and resources. The dish detergent smells good, rinses clean and gets my dishes sparkling clean. We used to use Dawn but have found that Method dish works just as well.

method Dishwasher Detergent gets my dishes clean, and its green!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

So many of the phosphate-free dishwasher detergents don't do nearly as good a job on dishes as Cascade and the rest of the "bad guys." Method works great and it's safe to use. We've tried the green version of Palmolive (pretty poor job) and Seventh Generation (good, but not the best) products, and method is far and away the best. Plus, the capsules are so easy to use, and the smell is great too.

Method Smarty Dish Non-Toxic Dishwasher Tabs Leave Residue

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

Both the Pink Grapefruit and plain versions of the Method Smarty Non-Toxic Dishwasher Tabs leave a strange chalky residue on all my dishes at the end of the cycle. I have been through one package of each and the result is the same. All of my stainless steel utensils have a tarnished appearance and my plates and bowls have a white, chalky coating when the cycle is done.

I hope the manufacturers will correct this as I am a big fan of evironmentally-friendly products. For now, I am going to try to find another solution.

Method Pink Grapefruit Smarty-Love it

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is the best Dishwasher detergent.   I tried them all,  but I really wanted one that was Eco- friendly.   I was searching for the right dishwasher soap because every detergent I used left residue on my glasses.  The one soap that didn't leave the residue (Cascade All in One) left the taste of soap instead.   This is the only detergent that did it all.   I love this product!

Don't use with plastic dishes!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I was very excited to try these new dishwasher tablets.  Unfortunately if you have plastic dishes (like cups or tupperware containers) these tablets leave a white residue all over them!  I was dumb enough to try it twice, in case it was a fluke.  I have a black plastic soup ladel and a red spaghetti scoop that both have this faded splotchy look to them since I used this tablet.  I've used several other brands and never had this problem!!!  I won't buy them again, and am in the meantime going to have to handwash any plastic dishes until these things are all gone :(
