I often have trouble keeping my dog out of the cat's food, but with Merrick Grammy's Pot Pie she has no desire to eat anything else but her food. Her coat is nice, shiny and soft....LOVE this product!

My dog loves all the Merrick dry food.  Grammy's Pot Pie was the 1st one I bought and it went over so much better taste wise than her old brand (which had changed formulation and made her sick...so I sought out to find the brand I felt I could trust the most and have been extremely pleased with Merrick).   My dog originally was adopted through a rescue and she was quite overweight when she came in due to lack of walks and also too many table scraps.  The high amount of table scraps left her VERY picky when it came to dog food.  She's always been eager to eat Merrick and I love that I can trust the brand so well especially after the experience with another brand.

I love love love the Merrick canned wet dog food, but the dry food has some major issues.  Although the quality seems impressive at first, my dog had some major digestive issues with it.  When we first started with the Merrick line I had her on a different dry food and loved teh canned product so much I decided to switch her to all Merrick products.   BIG MISTAKE.  From day 1 she had issues.  I started slowly mixing in teh food with her old food, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, then all Merrick.  By the time we were halfway through the first bag I knew something was wrong.  She began having diahrrea and even made messes in the house (something she almost never does).  My neighbor is a vet and I spoke with her about the food.  She believes it is possibly just to rich for my dog's stomach.  We switched her to another brand and the problem cleared up almost instantly.   Moral of the story: If your dog has a finicky stomach stear clear of this one!
