Honestly, I am more about the shape and the interior of my car, but I could have kept looking if I had noticed this before purchase.

I still really enjoy my Mercury Mariner. Great look, great color, nice interior, lots of useful room, FAIR get up and go ( I have had better), but there is an annoying air sound when you drive the highway with the windows closed. You can hear the air blowing over the top and along the doors, catching ever little flashing that can grab some air. its pretty loud and is very distracting while driving.

I got my Mercury Mariner in Sept 2008. I got 0% financing for 72 months which made my monthly payments affordable and my insurance didnt go up at all. It drives great . Feels like a car just higher off the ground. Mine has a sun roof and remote start which are great options. the cargo area is good size and very roomy when seats are layed down. I would recommend this to someone who drives alot, is starting a family, or just wants to feel more safe in something bigger and higher than a car. It is great on road trips and for shopping. This is my first mercury and I am greatly surprised as to its features. It is important to me that when the back seats are down that they completely close the space up to the drivers seat. This prevents my dogs legs from getting caught. I love the keypad entry system and sirrius radio. I don't know how I lived without these features. I love the fact that I am supporting the american car market also.
