Cougar: Not worth the headache

This car had issues as soon as the warranty expired.  Don't waste your money. The first issue was with the rack and pinion on the car.  The next malfunction was with the driver's side window.  I also had to have the transmission rebuilt, and not even two years later, it began to act as though it was having the same problems again.  While I was dealing with the transmission issue, the entire air conditioning system--compressor and all--died.  This car became a black hole for money, and I was lucky to get out before the transmission died again.  I was so concerned about the mechanical condition of the car, that I refused to sell it to an individual.  Instead, I sold it to a corporation to be sold at auction.
