Most HelpfulWe adopted Sugar. Someone threw him out of a car in a styrofoam cooler. He still hyperventilates when he has to ride in a car, so his vet was picked based on being the closest drive.
We've had Sugar for 9 or 10 years now. He is FAMILY. He also thinks that he is the boss. He definately makes his needs...

Most HelpfulI have 8 cats and feel bad when they get hairball problems. I don't feed this cat food exclusively, I mix it in with their favorite -- Meow Mix Original Choice. It seems to work very well, I haven't had any cats gagging on hair anymore. I guess it helps to ease the hair out through their digestive system instead of just clogging their throats. It's easier to give them this food rather than try to get them to swallow medicine. They don't even know they are eating something that will help them medically! I highly recommend this food.
I originally had 2 adult cats that constantly were throwing their food up. I was told to try meow mix hairball formula. I had tried meow mix in the past and figured I could try the hairball formula. It was a great success.
Then along came number three adult cat and she originally had been on a sensitive system formula in another brand due to her small size. I kept her on that cat food for a month and caught her eating the other cats food and figured it cost less and she has not ever been a throwing up cat so I started feeding her the hairball formula as well. She has flourished with the hairball...
review »The Meow Mix brand has been the only brand for my cat.

i think this is great if you mix it with other breands of meaw mix its a real eazy bag to find you cant miss it its bright yellow try this this cat food is what i went with when thay had the recall about a year ago its not over done on every thing an i feel it had enough proten in it if you mix it with half an half
My cats get hairballs a lot...especially when the weather is warmer and they start shedding more. I tried Meow Mix for hairballs and the cats love it. The taste is great to them and it helps control their hairballs. They still have some hairballs but the number of hairballs has been significantly reduced.
I will be honest. I opened the bad and thought wow this smells fantastic. I poured it into their bowls and they were all over it like white on rice. After a few days I couldn't resist, I decided I needed to taste test it. Granted it is still cat food and kinda gross but it was tasty too.
I fed it to my girls for almost a year and all they did was gain weight. DEespite their disappointment, we had to switch to less tasty, healthier food.
