After stopping breastfeeding and even while weaning my now 5 year old and 10 month old I've been using the Members Mark Gentle Infant Formula Powder with Iron, DHA and ARA Lipds. It is comparable with the Enfamil Gentlease Lipil and the proof is on the cans. Both my son's seem to love the taste and the price at SAM's is easy on the wallet when compared to other stores for the name brand formula's. Three cans cost $58.14 or $19.38 per can at Sams Club.

The only downfall of this is the smell. I thought I had spoiled formula in my son's bottle until I realized that I had just made his bottle 20 minutes before hand. The smell is definitely not friendly to the nose and it's probably a good thing it's in a bottle because if it was in a cup babies might turn their noses up to it.

The texture is different than the Enfamil's brand and is a little more courser but when mixed with water you cannot tell. One 3 lb 3.4 oz can lasts my son about 2-3 weeks depending on his feeding patterns.

So what makes this so special? Well according to the can there is 17 mg of DHA added which is suppose to be as good as you get with formula in comparison to mother's breast milk. I know that both my son's had no issues transitioning to the formula, so I guess that it must taste alright to their developing taste buds. Each 5 fl oz equals 100 calories. Member's mark also made it fairly easy for anyone to make a baby's bottle. One scoop for every 2 oz is pretty easy to remember and the included scoop defintely makes it user friendly to all.
