I used Similac with my first child after briefly breastfeeding; and after just quitting work, money was not a huge factor. Now, a little over three years later and having been staying at home, money is a much larger factor. So I was more open to other options with my second child. A friend recommended the Sam's brand--Member's Mark--to me some time ago. According to her pediatrician, it's just like Enfamil, and she used it with her second child upon recommendation from a friend. I did a little research and it is nutritionally identical to Enfamil, and according to reviews that I found, it mixes easily and washes out of the bottles easily. Now, after using it for a couple of months, I can say those things are true. With my first child, I ended up switching to pre-mixed formula--which is quite a bit more expensive than powder--for those two reasons--it was difficult to get it mixed up, especially in larger quantities and it stuck to the insides of the bottles and was hard to wash out. It is about half the cost of Enfamil or Similac powder formulas--one very large can lasts about 2 weeks and costs just under $20.
NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they received a sample of Members Mark Infant Formula with DHA and ARA
