The Melting Pot is awesome. I saw that someone complained because it wasn't like the fondue experience they had in Switzerland. Simply put, this is America. The Italian food doesn't taste like it does in Italy and the Chinese food doesn't taste like it does in China. We "Americanize" everything. When Americans go to France they say that McDonald's taste terrible. But I think that the Melting Pot is a wonderful place to dine. We've been to 3 different Melting Pots in Northern NJ...now that Whippany is opened and close to us, we tend to only go there, but all 3 were wonderful experiences.   We have ordered just the cheese fondue (sometimes 2 of them!), and other times order the Big Night Out.  Choices are varied, so something for everyone.  Love the veggies, always refilled.  We prefer the combinations - some chicken, shrimp, pork, beef, ravioli, etc.  Only complaint would be drink prices...we don't care for wine, and I once ordered a martini, not knowing it was $12 or $14. … read full review »
