The Melitta Express Kettle is not an appliance that I use at home, but one that is used at work quite often.  It is the perfect way to get hot water for tea, and that is exactly what we use it for.  We often have visitors in the building for meetings.  The typical beverage here in the south is hot coffee.  However, not everyone drinks coffee.  Having the Melitta Express Kettle on hand allows us to offer a cup of hot tea to those visitors who prefer tea over coffee.

Melitta Express Kettle

The Melitta Express Kettle is an electric kettle that simply heats water.  It holds 1.7 liters of water that can be viewed through the window that runs from the mid top to the mid bottom of the kettle.  The kettle sits in a swivel base that also houses the power cord which is a nice design since it doesn't interfere with your kettle.  The kettle rests on a stainless steel element which in turn heats up the water.   

The Melitta Express Kettle is white in color and will match any decor in your kitchen or office environment.  It retails for under $30.  I believe we paid around $26.99 for this one a couple of years ago. 

Features

The Melitta Express Kettle has a couple of nice features to it.  The on/off indicator light is a bright red and lets you know in an instant whether the kettle is on or off.  A nice safety feature included is the hinged lid for the kettle.  It also features a safety lock.  The other feature that I love is the automatic shut off. 

My Thoughts

The Melitta Express Kettle is a great addition to our kitchen at work.  It makes it easy to offer tea to visitors and delivers in a matter of minutes.  Our Melitta Express Kettle has lasted for several years now and has served its purpose well. If you are a frequent tea drinker, I highly recommend the Melitta Express Kettle.
