I am a pediatric speech pathologist to young children as well as having young children of my own and I love these wipes. I always buy them in packs of 2 or 4 and get nervous when I start getting low. I reviewed Tough and Tender cleaner and talked about how gentle it is around children and since it is all natural and smells divine I don't get that "bleach panic" that I do when I see a child grab a bleach wipe. While they state that these are not wet wipes and not for face or hand washing, I feel more comfortable letting kids clean my speech toys with these than I do with a bleach wipe. If they wipe a toy with it and then wipe their nose or eye I don't get as nervous as I do should this happen with a bleach wipe. Performance I put these wipes in my home health bag and use them mostly to clean my speech toys before and after sessions. Since they are gentle I also will allow kids to take a wipe and wipe down the toys also. I am happy with how clean the toys are after use. Scent I love this smell. I hate overpowering perfumes or caustic bleach clean smells and this is neither.

We used to go through a lot of Clorox and/or Lysol wipes in our home. With two kids, we are constantly wiping down the hard surfaces - counters, tables, gates and even some toys. The problem with the Clorox and Lysol wipes besides the obvious chemicals is the smell. And we either couldn't use them when the kids were around, or could only use them on things that were out of the kids' reach until they dried. When I saw Melaleuca had the Tough and Tender Wipes, I decided to give them a try. I wasn't expecting too much from them at first - we scrub hard and some of the other wipes we'd tried had either fallen apart or didn't clean well. Well, the Tough and Tender wipes both held up to our scrubbing and got the job done. Not only that, they don't have the harsh chemical odor like every other wipe we've tried. They are also biodegradable and safer to use around children and pets. They come in a soft resealable package rather than the big cylindrical "tub" which, for us, makes storing them easier since they take up a lot less room and lay flat. Each package comes with thirty 7-inch by 8-inch wipes.

My family started purchasing Melaleuca products this year in an effort to reduce the amount of chemicals in our home. Prior to using the tough and tender wipes I would purchase clorox or lysol brand wipes. I find that the tough and tender wipes clean as good as the other brands. One side of the wipe is textured to clean stuck on messes while the other side is soft to wipe the dirt away. I also like that the wipes are unscented and don't leave any chemically smell behind like the other brands. While the cleaning ability is equal with national brands, the tough and tender wipes do seem to tear easier than other wipes I have tried. The Melaleuca wipes are also more expensive, but I am happy to pay a little more if it means better health for my family.

Boy are these things handy!  I used to be addicted to Clorox and Lysol brand wipes.  I loved how they worked, but was a little wary of where I used them.  More specifically, I worried about WHO I used them around.  I have two little girls, and provide daycare for 2 little boys.  As you can well imagine, there are a lot of little hands touching a lot of things in my home.  Of course we all know where those hands go!  Straight to the mouth!  I don't know about you, but I'm not okay with my kids eating Clorox and Lysol wipes.  ENTER Tough and Tender wipes!  These little gems are perfectly safe.  No harmful chemicals, etc.  I can and do use these anywhere.  They work really well for quick clean up.  I'm all about quick and simple as I spend my day with 4 kids ages 2 and under.  We keep a package of these in just about every room of the house... and in the car.  The soft packaging also makes them easy to transport - no huge tub or container!  There is no harsh smell either.  The negatives include that they aren't extremely moist, so if you don't use them regularly I imagine you'd find them dried up.  We don't have the problem of course!  Also, they are no where near as inexpensive as the other brand of cleaning wipes.  But, you're paying for safety and ease of use... so for that, I can splurge!
