It does get off stains u can use it right from the bottle I used it to take off deep carpet stains in a steam cleaner I also used this right on laundry stains

I am a preferred customer of Melaleuca and I recieved a bottle of Sol-U-Mel in a random backup box one month when I forgot to put my order in. I used it in my shower and it KNOCKED OUT all the grimy soap scum, cleaned the grout and the tiles without me moving a muscle, all I did was rinse! I now use it in every single room. It works for puppy messes, kid messes, and it cleans up stains like crayon and permanent marker! It even cleaned up a hair dye accident from the previous tenants.

I was told this stain remover was amazing. However, it does not work and it smells really bad! My daughter wrote in pen all over her American Girl doll! I was livid. A bunch of other moms from an American Girl facebook group informed me that Sol U Mel would remove the ink from the doll. They swore by this stuff for everything. So I tried it and it did absolutely nothing. It didn't even cause the ink to smudge. And I didn't dilute it either as I wanted to use it at full strength. But it wouldn't have mattered if I diluted it or not as the only thing it did do was smell absolutely awful. Even worse was my hands stunk of it, my house stunk of it and the doll stunk of it. I wouldn't suggest trying this stuff on clothes or anything else for that matter, unless you want your belongings to smell bad. In my opinion, this stuff is a big waste of money unless of course you like the smell of a rotting tree that a squirrel died in.

I was pleasantly surprised at the stain fighting power that this little bottle has. The first time I used it, I had a mishap of changing my printer cartridge in a hurry only to fling some drops of magenta cartridge ink on my mattress which (consequently) was exposed without sheets. I rushed to the cleaning cabinet, read the measurements, mixed a batch and and sprayed some of this cleaner on the mattress and blotted it with a white towel. It lifted the entire stain up! The. Entire. Stain. I have never had anything that effective. I told my husband when he came in later and he asked if he could try to pinpoint where the stain had been. I said "sure". He examined the mattress and could not see anything either. I will say that, while it has removed some stains from carpet, it is more effective when used immediately after the staining occurs. I also mix it with melaleuca's tub and tile to get a very stain free deep clean on the shower grout, etc when bathroom cleaning. The "recipe" calls for such a small amount of sol u mel that it lasts way longer than another spray bottle of stain cleaner.

I cannot say enough good about this company or this product. I grew up with a mother who used this product, and I now use it in my own home. First of all, I LOVE the fact that it is safe. I don't have to worry about toxic fumes or about harmful chemicals in my home with my children. I also love how effective Sol U Mel is. I use it for so many things! Disinfecting any surface, cleaning, getting sticky residue off, stains and dirty surfaces clean, etc..... I highly recommend this product, as well as all Melaleuca products!

I was skeptical when I was told Solumel would remove nail polish off my carpets. My dd had put some pink nail polish on my white carpet and had tried anything you can imagine. I tried this product, and on the very first try the nail polish came off I was amazed. I then tried it on my walls where my dd had made a drawing with permanent marker, and Oh My! The permanent marker came off with out a hassle...I now use this product for everything, our clothes as a stain remover, on our stove as a degreaser, and so many other things. I am In love with SOL U MEL.

This stuff is amazing!! I have used it to get marker off my antique wood desk without any damaging effects. Have also used it to get melted crayon off the inside of my dryer. Just wiped right off with Sol U Mel. Have not found anything that can even come close to how this stuff performs. Worth every penny you pay for it...especially with kids around the house.

I can not tell you how thankful I am that we came across Melaleuca's Sol U Mel stain remover. It is one of the most powerful stain removers that I have ever used and yet it is still gentle on fabric and other surfaces. It is the only thing that I have found that gets out sharpie stains which is a must when you have a toddler who somehow manages to get a hold of a sharpie just once. This product saved my couch and a dining room chair from utter disaster. It also worked to remove dried on stains on baby clothes. Clothes that I had given up on months ago. Not only does Melaleuca's Sol U Mel stain remover get rid of stains it's also fabulous at removing gunk... like sticky residue left behind from price tags. It didn't even damage the book that I used it on. Sol U Mel does have a strong odor but it's not a chemically one so it doesn't bother me (as most strong chemicals usually do). The strong odor you smell is tea tree oil.

Sol-U-Mel by Melaluca has to be one of my family's FAVORITE products EVER! I have been using Melaluca's products for the better part of fifteen years, since I was a kid. Sol-U-Mel remains one of my favorites. The smell is a little odd, and takes some getting used to, but knowing how insanely well this product can clean just about ANYTHING, as well as totally safe to use around my young children is wonderful. You mix a few cap fulls in a spray bottle with water and you can clean and disinfect anything. I have used this product to get nail polish off a table (in the grout). It's gotten black nail polish out of WHITE carpet. It has gotten TAR out of the trunk of my car (no lie). I used it to get permanent marker off my husbands hard hat from work. He spent 20 minutes scrubbing with no results. I tipped the bottle against a paper towel and wiped the marker away like it was washable marker! Yet, it's gentle enough that I used it to get a temporary tattoo of my 4 year olds arm (that had been there for OVER 3 weeks and would not budge). Sol-U-Mel is so versitile and has so many uses, I cannot imagine our daily lives with out it!

Melaleuca's Sol-U-Mel is awesome stuff!  I am amazed at how it has removed stains from my carpet.  These are pet stains that I wasn't able to remove with using grocery store brand carpet cleaners.  Sol-U-Mel took them right up.   The other night I was rearranging some furniture in my living room and discovered a stain that looked like someone had taken a black permanent marker and colored on the carpet.  I called my husband over and said lets see if Sol-U-Mel gets this up, and sure enough it did.   This is a must have in my house from now on!
