We tried this dishwasher gel for a short time, but it did not work very well for us. Unless food was dried on very hard because the dishes were not rinsed well, then it usually would get the food and grease off of our dished pretty well. But our dishes still did not come out very clean. This soap did not rinse off very well, so it would leave a soapy residue on our dishes that was noticeable the next time that we used them. This residue did not taste very good. On top of that, it left a glazed look on our glasses instead of getting them clean and clear. We have used other dishwasher detergents with the same dishes and the same dishwasher, and we did not have these problems. So I believe that it was this detergent that caused the problems. Even if it is cheaper than other brands of dishwasher detergent, I do not plan to waste my hard earned money on it again, and I would not recommend it to others either.

After trying a few Melaleuca products, I decided to swap out our regular dishwasher detergent for Melaleuca's Diamond Brite Gel Automatic Dishwasher Detergent. The dishwashing gel that I had been using prior was made by a mainstream brand, so I wasn't sure how well this "natural" detergent would do in comparison. However, I was pleasantly surprised, as I quickly found that I actually like Melaleuca's Diamond Brite Gel Automatic Dishwasher Detergent better than the mainstream brand I was using before. Even though this is a natural detergent made of safe, non-toxic ingredients, it does a great job on dishes. It worked just as well as any other detergents have tried. My favorite thing about it (other than knowing it is safer for my family to use) is that I can actually smell a difference when I open the dishwasher. Instead a fake harsh smell that I can only describe as "chemically", the Diamond Brite has a very fresh clean smell, but without the chemical scent. This made me feel like the more natural ingredients really do make a difference.

Clean dishes and a better environment, what more could you want! I like that Melaleuca Diamond Bright has no chemicals, chlorine bleach and no sulfates so its great for the environment, and I don't have to worry about my children or animals being harmed with this product. However what I like best about this product is that it leaves my dishes sparkling clean. I do always rinse my dishes first, but with Diamond Bright, I've never had a problem with any dried on messes after the cycle is complete, like I've experienced with other major brands of dish washing detergent. It comes in a concentrated form so that it uses less packing and it lasts a long time, longer than the other brands I have purchased in the past. I have introduced other family members to Diamond Bright and they have had the same results. You pay a little more for this brand, but as I'm sure you've heard, you get what you pay for.

I have used many different types of dish detergents and Melaleuc's detergent has been my favorite. It has a fresh clean scent and has always worked well on tough dishes. I have splattered other detergents onto my clothes before and other detergents have left bleched spots unlike Diamond Brite which is natural. it comes as a liquid so powdered clumps are not a problem. You only need to fill the dishwasher with a fraction of detergent unlike other brands which fill the entire cup. Since it it consentrated, it lasts a lot longer. The only down side to this detergent is that you need to become a loyal customer of Melaleuca and purchase their products (which are all amazing!) monthly. It is hard on the budget to fork out a little extra to meet your monthly product requirments. However, I would recommend this product for a friend. It gets every job done!

Melaleuca's Diamond Brite Gel Automatic Dishwasher Detergent is the best detergent I've ever used in my dishwasher! I've tried other brands and while most of them are okay, Diamond Brite is by far my favorite. Since I only run the dishwasher when it's completely full, I have used it on dishes that have been sitting in my sink for days with baked or dried on crud and it's taken it right off. No pre-washing, rinsing or scraping first, even on pots and pans. Diamond Brite also has never left any residue on my dishes. I've had some detergents that leave a film on the dishes so that I've had to run the dishwasher a second time or hand wash them to get rid of it, which kind of defeats the purpose of using it in the first place. It is also more human and eco-friendly than other detergents. There are no phosphates, chlorine, bleach or lye in it. There's not even a child-proof cap on the bottle, just an easy to use flip top. It's concentrated, so you only need to fill one dispenser half full to get the same results as a two full dispensers of other detergents. For heavily soiled dishes or if there's something extra nasty, I'll fill the dispenser to about 3/4 full and get the same great results.

My sister gave me some of her Melaleuca Diamond Brite Gel Automatic Dishwasher Detergent to try. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it costs a lot. It works pretty good. It got my dishes clean and didn't leave any streaks. One day when I was loading the dishwasher with the Melaleuca Diamond Brite detergent & putting the detergent into the holder I got distracted and left the room for only a moment. When I came back, my son who was 1 at the time, had his fingers in the detergent and was licking them. He had the Melaleuca detergent all over his chin, hands and shirt. I freaked out! I hurried and washed as much of the detergent off of his face, mouth, and hands and called the poison control center. That's when I found out that Melaleuca products are a lot safer than the ones you can buy at the store. He was fine. We were lucky we were using Melaleuca Diamond Brite that day!

Let me start off by saying that I love, no make that addicted to, all Melaleuca products.  I think they are all amazing and I jumped right on the "green" bandwagon like I never thought I would.  The Diamond Brite dishwasher detergent works extremely well.  Your dishes will come out sparkling clean with this stuff.  You will know they are clean because if you run your finger across a plate or around a glass it will even squeak a little bit.  Wow!  There is no residue, no grime, no food particles left over.  All you get are REALLY clean dishes.  We even got lazy using this product and rinsed our dishes much less than we used to with other detergents.  Maybe because it's a gel type of consistency it works better, I don't know.  It's even a great value for the price, especially when you compare it to other top brands of liquid dishwasher detergent.  I'm a pretty thrifty person, but this is one area where I'll splurge.  No more cheap powdered dishwasher detergents for me.  This is worth the little bit of extra expenditure.  Call me crazy, but I get a little thrill every time I open the dishwasher to find delightfully clean and sanitized dishes!

My step mother introduced me to Melaleuca products when my son was first born and I started to really get on the all natural cleaner kick.  She had a membership and was able to get them for me.  I was hooked!  No bleach in the dishwasher detergent!!  This was absolutely great!  The price was a little on the high side which was alright to me.  You really only need to use a little bit and it worked very well!  All of my dishes came out really clean even the silver ware.  I was very surprised to find that it did so well and was happy that I could get this product through my step mom that I decided to get more products.  Well I am sad to say that she no longer goes through the Melaleuca company so I no longer am able to get the products with out signing up for it myself...which I really do not want to do.  But anyone considering using these products, I highly recommend at least trying them..they DO work!
