They come in a six pack. The lights are just so cool they are not as bright as I would have like them but they rock and the energy savings will pay for these in a year.  I believe you can get these at Costco for cheaper under $20. You can stop the color rotation and set it to one color to better accent a room by using the button on the front. Some colors are brighter than others (such as white and violet); while Red is very dark. The light intensity is always changing depending on the color; this is true but avoidable if you want to forfeit the color changing.
