The Case
I've got five brothers and sisters, and they're all under the age of ten. Mostly because of them, I feel that I'm extremely well-versed in the wide world of children's movies. I've seen a LOT of them! But, ironically...

From the first time I viewed the trailer I was excited to see this film from Disney, "Meet the Robinsons". It turns out that I was not disappointed either.
The film starts off with a young 13 year-old Lewis, an egghead wannabe inventor who lives in an orphanage and shares a room with his best friend Michael, (or as he's better known as -Goob). In-between his inventive inventions he is interviewing for potential parents to take him into his new family.
At a science-fair at school, he is encountered by a strange new character Wilbur who claims to have a time machine. Lewis agrees to travel...
review »This movie was great on so many levels. There were many things that touched close to home with me and my family. I would sit and watch this movie over and over and at the end I would cry every time! (in this movie the tears at the end is a good thing!)
I loved that they referenced Steamboat Willie and then made the movie in honour of Walt Disney. That was very touching. Then there was the topic of adoption, I have several family members that were adopted and so this hit home for me. And then we can't forget there was the one thing that as kids everyone dreams about...going to the future and/or...
review »Meet the Robinson's is a great film for all children to view, preferably with their parents or other adult(s). In the beginning of the movie, I was a little confused, as was my 19 year old daughter, as it tends to skip around a lot, but eventually the story line becomes clear. There are so many positive messages: including, the positive aspects of being adopted, the hard decision the birth mother made (I am adopted myself), failure does not mean stop trying, rather "keep moving forward," which is an oft used saying later in the film, etc.
The movie had funny parts, a few mildly scary ones and was...
review »We took my very active young children to see this in theaters. We all enjoyed it and the kids watched the entire thing! They loved the dinosaur and the movie was entertaining for everyone in the family! We purchased the dvd when it came out and still enjoy the movie. The movie was done very well and although the plot could be confusing, it really was not that difficult to follow. I highly recommend this movie to the young and old!
