Meet the Robinson's is a great film for all children to view, preferably with their parents or other adult(s). In the beginning of the movie, I was a little confused, as was my 19 year old daughter, as it tends to skip around a lot, but eventually the story line becomes clear. There are so many positive messages: including, the positive aspects of being adopted, the hard decision the birth mother made (I am adopted myself), failure does not mean stop trying, rather "keep moving forward," which is an oft used saying later in the film, etc.
The movie had funny parts, a few mildly scary ones and was just overall enjoyable to watch. It also showed the negative side of giving up on one's self through the "villian," who was really just a lost little boy.
I especially liked how they portrayed what the world might have looked like had Luis never been born. It will really appeal to adopted children and those who have a hard time at home and think their lives don't really matter.
