Medline Bath Bench Review Summary
The Medline Bath Bench is indispensable to our reviewers who need stability in the shower or for those who care for loved ones who do. This lightweight bench has ventilation holes in it for drainage and is nonslip. The legs are adjustable for height and the bench fits in almost every tub. One caveat is that this bench doesn't have a back so the person using it must be capable of sitting upright for the duration of their shower with no support. Still the Medline Bath Bench is getting rave reviews and is making bathing a lot easier for those with stability issues.

a daughter, concerned about my mom's health, an only child, concerned about safety
To the PointMy mom was operated on in August 2006 in Massachusetts. In Florida she has items that enable her to be as safe as possible. We didn't have anything; however. We went to a store that sold medical devices. (You may be able to find some at Walgreen's.) One item was the Medline Bath Bench. It's great in the short term but for long term use I'd get a different one. — A Closer View — My mom just spent a month with us so the bench came in handy once again. You can buy it and see it at www.amazon.com/Medline-Bath-Bench-without-Back/dp/B0007VNZUE/ref=pd_sbs_hpc_title_1. …

Practical, disabled, safety conscious, a baker at home and for others, an aggressive saver, not rich, a perfumer, a home cook and love cooking
This is one of the best things ever invented - pair it with a hand-held shower that attaches right to your own shower head and have a seat and enjoy your shower - without worrying about falling or slipping; maybe even hurting yourself. — I'd recommend this to anyone, old, young, disabled, healthy, it's just that good. I needed something after taking a fall and having a heavy object fall on top of me, which was WHY I fell. As I'm too young for a hip replacement, I use this everytime I take a shower, combined with a hand-held shower head attachment. — It makes taking a shower,…

trying to quit smoking
When I had hip surgery at a young age, it was impossible to take a shower comfortably. This seat was my best friend for about a month and a half and I still use it! I couldn't stand long periods of time and this is a convenient way to shower without actually sitting on the ground. I can see why many elderly people would use this and I am thankful it was so light and easy to move. No instillations needed and you can easily use it as needed. Great device and very secure. You'll never need to worry about it slipping! — …

Since the early 80s, after my mother has lost her leg above the knee, this is the only bench style that she would use. It is convienent, and it doesn't slip in the shower. The bench makes it easy to slide on and off, and the holes in the seat help keep the water from setting. — I would definately recomend this to all that need assistance in the shower. —…
