This is an exciting experience. I took my wife to the Baltimore/Washington DC 1,000 seat Castle in Arundel Mills Mall and we loved it. We had a blast. The costumes are extragavant and very realistic. One is immediately taken back to the 11th Century by the language and the decor of the castle. We were greeted as "My Lord" and "MyLady" and given crowns that showed which knight we would be cheering for. We posed for portraits with the King and then were free to wander the grounds of the castle until showtime. Drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) could be purchased from the tavern at very good prices. Jewelery and other souvenirs are available for purchase.
An Exciting Knighting Ceremony for special occasions(birthdays etc) is available upon request before the Grand Ceremonial Arena is opened for guests.
Dinner is served without utensils by wenches(women) and serfs(men). The medieval menu of Soup, Garlic bread, Roasted Chicken, potatoes and cool beverages are served throughout the evening as the story unfolds before us. Magic, Betrayal, valor, love and defeat are all part of the action that involves us as we cheered our knight on in the battle using the sword, axe, mace and bola. Real Sparks fly as the knights riding horses fight each other in the arena! Trained horses and riders showcase their skill and a falconer with live falcon thrilled us with his demonstration. There is a very appropiate music score throughout the entire show that makes it all very realistic and entertaining.
Eat Drink and Be Merry! You will leave Medieval Times wanting to go back again and again.
