AmeriGlide Ultra Stair Lift

AmeriGlide Ultra Stair Lift
concerned about safety, health conscious, Practical

JUL

2008
If you can not easily walk up or down the stairs then a stair lift, then you might greatly benefit from a stair lift. A stair lift is a device that is used to carry someone up and down the stairs. A chair is sent up or down the stairs on a track system that is attached directly to the stairs. — — AmeriGlide, a manufacturer of home medical equipment, offers a complete line of stair lifts. The AmeriGlide Ultra Standard is one of my favorites. It can support up to 300 pounds and span distances of up to 32 feet. It has a swivel seat to make it easier to get on and off of the device,… read full review »

American Medical ID Personalized Medical ID Jewelry

American Medical ID Personalized Medical ID Jewelry

I have an illness that requires for me to be on oxygen and am also allergic to certain medications so my family doctor suggested that I get a medical ID bracelet or necklace of some kind. Sometimes I get very lightheaded when I am on my own and can pass out so I decided to get a medical ID bracelet in case of an emergency while I am by myself. I am young so I was hesitant to get a bracelet because I thought they would cost a fortune. So I go to the website and place my order for my bracelet then to my surprise, the website offered a large discount if I ordered more. Well, my mother and… read full review »

Invacare Action MVP

Invacare Action MVP
health conscious

JUL

2008
One of the most disappointing experiences I've had in the world of lightweight wheelchairs, The Invacare Action MVP (Model #: MVP) is billed as Invacare's action to Sunrise Medical's "Quickie" line of chairs. —  Quite simply, it's not. — Virtually every aspect of the Invacare Action MVP screams out mediocrity, from frame construction, to hardware, to seat upholstery and, finally, Invacare's embarrassingly bad customer service. — In other words, everything that is "right" about a "Quickie" goes wrong when it comes to the "Action" chair. To be sure, the Action MVP is… read full review »

Medline Bath Bench

Medline Bath Bench

This is one of the best things ever invented - pair it with a hand-held shower that attaches right to your own shower head and have a seat and enjoy your shower - without worrying about falling or slipping; maybe even hurting yourself. — I'd recommend this to anyone, old, young, disabled, healthy, it's just that good. I needed something after taking a fall and having a heavy object fall on top of me, which was WHY I fell. As I'm too young for a hip replacement, I use this everytime I take a shower, combined with a hand-held shower head attachment. — It makes taking a shower,… read full review »

Nexus III Nexus III Cable-Free Outdoor Rollator Walker

Nexus III Nexus III Cable-Free Outdoor Rollator Walker
concerned about safety, health conscious, fatigue easily

MAY

2008
The Nexus III Cable-Free Outdoor Rollator Walker is a great product made by Dana Douglas. It is adjustable in height and has additional attachments for tall people. The padded seat is very comfortable. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. I really like that there are no brake cables to get caught in, the cable-free design is an excellent feature. It comes with a removable basket that could be used for shopping or putting your jacket into. There is a handle in the seat that you can lift on and the walker easily folds in half to store in trunk or in places with little or no storage.… read full review »

The Reli On Ear Themometer was a waste of money! I hope none of you buy it!  Maybe someone has had better luck than me with the dumb thing!  — First of all when I first bought the product I did something I never do- I threw out the box it came in.  Which means right away no chance at a return.  Being a penny pincher I decided to try the thermometer without the ear probe cover.  But I found out these only work with a cover on.  Fine.  — So skip ahead a few weeks.  My son is not feeling well.  He is 2 and his face is flushed.  I… read full review »

When I had hip surgery at a young age, it was impossible to take a shower comfortably. This seat was my best friend for about a month and a half and I still use it! I couldn't stand long periods of time and this is a convenient way to shower without actually sitting on the ground. I can see why many elderly people would use this and I am thankful it was so light and easy to move. No instillations needed and you can easily use it as needed. Great device and very secure. You'll never need to worry about it slipping! — … read full review »
