I have been going to the Medi weight loss clinic on 54 in Lutz.  I have lost 27 pounds in 7 weeks!  It is taking some work, but I am definitely seeing the results.  It is Doctor monitored, but you can only have 500 calories a day.  You are on appetite suppressants, fat burners, and vitamins.  You need to drink a lot of water, moniter your eating, and excercise.  I have been very pleased with the quick results.  It is pricey though - so you need to be committed to sticking to the program.

You will loose 20 pounds in probably the first month is you follow it! I would ask your gyn. about the appetite suppressants they prescribe. They are safe I am just not sure if they stay in your system and tehy would want you off them well before you try to conceive. I am not an MD so I would ask directly about that!

Be honest with yourself and your journaling - if you eat something write it down :o) I actually had to stop the program because the meds were making my migraines worse. But I lost 30lbs doing it! But you're not cheating anyone but your self if you aren't honest with what you are eating and your calories. Hope that helps.

I am going on Thursday. I have about 90 lbs. to lose. I have literally tried everything but lap band surgery. I am very excited, but nervous at the same time with all the holidays upon us. Any advice?

Hi. I'm thinking about starting next week. I have about 60 lbs to lose. How many calories are you allowed for the duration of the program? Can you eat foods from the grocery store?

What is the appetite suppresant they give you? I have heart palpitations and worried about this drug. I would like to research before I schedule appt.

No - I paid out of pocket - $70 a week for me. One reason I am no longer doing it unfortunately.

jennypoo wrote on Aug 15, 2008 at 9:04PM

Have any of you had this covere by your insurance?

This is my second week. I found this program because I was looking to get a lap band. My insurance requires a Dr supervised program 1st. It has been 1 week and I lost 11.6 pounds. I was told a little morethan half is water. I also know I wont loose that much in the coming week but I folloed it exactly and did not cheat. If this works I wont do surgery. The injections and meds kept my hunger at bay. Good luck to all!

I hope you are still doing so great :o) I actually got off track for about 6 weeks - had some medical problems that threw everything out of wack, but I have been back on track for the past several days. This is the hard part, so I hope to get past it a little quicker this time.
I know what you mean about the clothes!!!

In response to gisellewashburn's comment from Feb 22, 2008 at 10:52AM:

I am still consistently loosing and my brother has started as well. He is weighing in Tuesday but has already lost 8 lbs (home scale). I am finishing my 3rd week and find that I am less hungry than the first two weeks. Some days I don't even take the app. supps. When I am hungry I grille a bunch of vegetables and find myself so full I don't desire dinner! I am down 17 as of today. This program is great. The funny thing for me now is when I wear clothing that is either getting to big or is fitting just right - and I am wondering what the heck was I thinking wearing this 17 pounds ago! YIKES.

I am not really excercising all that much either. they have told me to hold off on anything crazy for a while. I want to lost 40-45 lbs and I really feel like it's possible. It always seemed like SUCH an uphill battle before this program.

You keep up the good work too!

In response to calliemay's comment from Feb 19, 2008 at 7:11PM:

My biggest obstacle is sticking to the calorie requirements. I have done pretty good with staying under 1000 and am still losing 2-4 lbs a week. I needed to lose about 100 all together, so I know as I get lower in weight I won't be able to fudge as much. . . I also am not great at excercising :o) But I try not to beat my self up about it - I just keep reminding myself that I am making positive changes in my lifestyle. Keep up the great work!!!!

In response to gisellewashburn's comment from Feb 15, 2008 at 1:37PM:

Thanks for your message back. I did start and actually lost 7.6 pounds the first week! I never have had that much success the first week on any program. I am in my second week and I do feel more hungry this week than last. But the appetite suppressants are great. What have been your obstacles?

In response to calliemay's comment from Feb 10, 2008 at 9:04AM:

I am still doing it and I think it is wonderful. I have had some ups and downs (not always sticking to the program like I should), but I have lost 30 lbs in the past 4 months! I have done weight watchers, Atkins, South Beach, etc. and this program works for me the best! It is very structured and I find I am more disciplined with it because of that. I have two friend who have joined since Jan 1st and they have each lost about 15 lbs. So it is working for them too. Hope this helps :o) Giselle

Are you still on this program and if so, how is it working? I am thinking of starting it but can't really ind any info or reviews on the program.

Thanks!
