Well, I bought Mederma because I had a really bad pimple on my face that I was sure was going to leave a nasty scar. I bought it at Wal-mart, and I believe it was around 15 dollars. Which, I thought was expensive. But the commercials are so positive that I thought I would give it a try. I have various other scars, including stretch marks, that I thought I would try it on.
First of all, according to the instructions, you are supposed to apply Mederma twice to three time daily. To me, that's pretty hard to do. It's hard to remember to do. That was a negative. The smell also, I don't find pleasant. But, It does dry quickly, and it is not sticky, that was a positive.
Well, I tried my best to apply twice a day. I can't say that I always adhered to the twice a day instructions though. But, I have to say that it did erase the pimple scar. It looks great. It did absolutely NOTHING for my old scars. Nothing. For new, small scars, I think it worked well. But I would not recommend it for old scars.
