Medela is clearly the leader in breastfeeding support products. This pump is the next highest in quality to hospital grade pumps.
It comes in versatile styles (messenger bag or back pack) and generates a great deal of suction making it very effective. I have had mine for 3 years and am currently using it for my second child. I use it once or twice daily and am satisfied. After about a month of use, the pump became noisier and a little less effective in pumping, but it still accomplishes the mission.
I like that you can easily purchase many accessories for it (ie custom fit pieces, extra...
review »The Medela Pump In Style Advance made breastfeeding easy for my busy lifestyle. I didn't breastfeed my first child but decided I was going for it with the second. I work two jobs so I knew it was going to be a challenge when I went back to work. I bought the PIS Advance because a few friends of mine raved about it. I loved it from the first pump. I started pumping from day one so that I had a larger supply and never had any trouble out of the pump. I was afraid that because I have extra large breasts that I wouldn't get proper suction but the pump in style advance didn't fail me. I was able to...
review »The first breastpump I bought was a clearanced Evenflo pump for $16. I couldn't beat a price like that!! So I bought it and started using it. Well, it wasn't comfortable for me, and the motor seemed to have burned out, so I needed a new pump. I bought the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and I LOVE IT!!!!! It expresses milk using new Medela technology that uses what they call 2-phase expression. First, it's fast and hard, then it slows down (either after a specified time or when you press a button) and it works great! The idea behind this is to simulate your baby, and I think it works for me, because...
review »I absolutely loved my medela pump in style advanced. The first thing that got my attention (lets face it, how exciting can a breast pump be?) was the fun bag that it comes with! it looks tlike an oversized purse (which are quite in style right now!). It easily holds the pump and accessories so it can easily be carries anywhere. I had to take mine to wirk so I could pump there and no one would have known it was a breast pump I was carrying around. I loved how easy it was to use. there were no confusing instructions aND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE...
review »I bought the Medela Pump in Style Advanced in 2007 when I was pregnant with my first child. I knew that in six short weeks I would be returning to work during our busiest time. But, I wanted to continue breastfeeding for as long as possible. The pump in style allowed that to happen. Having all of the pump parts in one bag that was stylish as well as functional made things so convenient. The functions on the pump that allowed you to change speed and tension also allowed me to make the most of my pumping sessions. I have now used this pump with my second child and have been breastfeeding...
review »This breast pump was a lifesaver for my attempt at breastfeeding. Being able to pump both breasts at the same time was very time efficient and allowed me more freedom that can be found with other pumps. Having the battery pack for travel was great for airports. Additionally, being able to pump one breast while my baby fed from the other side was great. I highly recommend this pump and you won't be disappointed!
I absolutely loved this pump! It lasted through two babies, pumping 2-3 times per day for about two years total. It helped me keep my milk volume up after returning to week and we never had to supplement our babies with formula. I'd definitely use it again with a new baby!
